Hi everyone,
Im still mulling over what I should do for battery box for my 24 v ping.
I notice lot of people make there own but Im looking for something simpler just now , so I can basically protect the battery in something resonbaly small.
As Im housebound just now I cant really get out to look at any toolboxes in stores that would fit the dimensions of my ping i.e. without it being too large , too small or with those stupid compartments for nails that i keep seeing on the advertised ones online.
Given that - I was thinking I could probably just use something like a canvas camera bag ( lowepro might be fine if i got it slightly bigger ) and used some of that polyethylene foam inside with bungee cords / straps.
As it happens I already have some I bought last year ( foam )which worked very well in terms of absorbing shock , and seems like it would be easy to cut / craft with the right tools - like dremel perhaps ?
With the foam youd have more protection than any metal or plastic case and the advantage of far less weight / waterproof , but what im not so sure about, is if theyd be any other drawbacks in terms of it overheating ,that I'm be unaware of .
What do other folk here think ?
cheers
