Is there a way to see how much harmonic distortion there is on the mains short of a 220vac recording oscilloscope ?
Why are you interested in a small amount harmonics on AC supply? If a device needs DC supply, harmonics are removed by the ac-dc converter stage. Atherwise, the amount of harmonics generated by the appliance is usually more than the grid's but gets absorbed locally. Incidentally, that guy regurgitate irrelevant facts and fictions. Btw, datacentres have their own uninteruptible power supply circuits so feeding no harmonics back to the grid in any significant amount.

I suppose they have to provide a minimum level of service to help EVs with enough charge to reach the nearest charging stations. With new EV battery packs capable of 2000 miles on one full charge, the diesel backup generators won't be often needed.
Yeah, my bike can now do 1000 miles on one charge too. Long live EVs!
