I was very disappointed when the sticky "Complaints" thread was removed, it allowed both sides to score points, feints, dodges and we had ringside seats.
In its place might I suggest a sticky "Recommended Dealers" thread and I would like to start it off.

For me it had been a long wearing journey so perhaps I got special treatment but I doubt it.
"Tea or coffee? A home made scone?" A truly Scottish welcome.
I had come to test an Easy Glider @ £1599 and 28kg, but because of my health and needing to lift the bike up 4 steps I was advised to try the Gitane @ £1249 and 22kg.
Extensive test rides on both, pros and cons freely discussed and I was advised to take the cheaper bike home for the weekend to try it where I would use it. I did not ask if this considerable concession was due to me being disabled. They have other business interests using their own transport and so arranged collection after the weekend.
The Gitane would be in stock at the suppliers in a fortnight but I was already having withdrawal symptoms and rather unreasonably asked if they could search around and find one for me, they did and it was delivered.
In general discussion I mentioned long lead times and deposits, "Not a way we would do business, most of our advertising is by satisfied customers so we want more satisfied customers".

Before I bought the Gitane I felt that the there was a possibility that I might not have the stamina to maintain the proper cadence to remain in top gear for long periods and sought information from an acknowledged Hub Gear Expert. Mr Richard Freeman spent considerable time assuring me that the Nexus Auto-D used a standard 3 speed hub which would readily accept a standard Nexus Revoshift rotary handlebar shifter. Should I wish to order one at some time in the future the shifter with clickbox and cable would cost £11.99, P&P £2.75 and yes they keep them in stock.
A patient man with great knowledge.
