hey everyone, i was thinking of installing into my rockrider st100 bike an electric kit with a budget of around 300ish euros i am from italy dont mind if the parts are from amazon or aliexpress or wherever, can somebody please help me on which parts i need and without losing the possibility to change gears, its my 1st time ever looking into this and i need it to keep doing deliveroo, please help me thanks in advance.

im around 78 80kg, dont have anything crazy as for hills just some small ones 80% of the time im going to be on a straight road, thats why i dont really need anything crazy just a entry level.
Have found this battery and chatgpt said its more than fine, this are the components i came accross after hours and hours of research and asking to chatgbt but a human touch or saying is needed xD

I don't like the way it mentions rim in every listing. Is there anything that says it has the fixings for a disc brake.
We normally recommend kits from Yose Power. They a good supplier, being fast, cheap and helpful, but the controller's they supply with their kits have crappy a control system based on speed control.
I much prefer KT controllers, and not many kits have them; however, you can get some kits from PSWpower with either Bafang or MXUS motors that include the KT controller with LCD5. They also have some cheap batteries. I gave some links in the "Bargains" thread yesterday.
i have to say that i know almost anything about e bikes i understood only this basic things from chatgbt like battery power ah and motor power of what i need, all the rest im clueless thats why im asking for someones help, only thing i know is ive got a budget of 350 euros at max but no clue what to get or where to buy them from while staying inside the budget, i checked the links of the bargains thread but it wasnt available anymore, if its not asking much if you could point me out towards what exact parts im going to need staying inside the budget it would be awesome, aliexpress is more than ok for me and "no name brands" cosnidering the budget i have i cant ask for miracles ahahah.
1 last thing would it be better having the motor on the rear or front wheel cause i dont wanna end losing the gear shifts
my bike says it has 27.5 but last time that i changed it i think the shop repair mounted a 28 this time
PSWPower don't seem to have any 250w 27.5" kits at the moment, so probably better to go with Yose and one of their batteries.

The important points are that you need a cassette motor, disc brake fixings and the correct wheel size.
Be careful about cheap batteries from unknown suppliers. Some have recycled cells in them or safety defects.
Cheaper kits do have cassette motors, then you have to spend money and time adapting your gears to suit a freewheel motor, so it's not cheaper in the end and you have worse gears.
have checked this one out and its out of budget sadly, what if i get this battery and find a 250w 27.5 kit with aPSWPower don't seem to have any 250w 27.5" kits at the moment, so probably better to go with Yose and one of their batteries.

cassette motor, problem is gonna be finding it all ive managed to find are the kits without the cassette and those ones on aliexpress that says you can buy the cassette cant find where to buy them maybe i will try to ask the sellers always if the battery is ok

There are two different gear systems: freewheel has screw-on gears and is OK up to 7-speeds; freehub, normally called cassette, has a spline for slide-on gears and is necessary for 8+ speeds. Your bike has the freehub system, so you need a cassette (freehub) motor. You can take your cassette off your present hub and put it on the new motor. For that you'll need a cassette removal tool and a chainwhip tool.

7 gears could be a freewheel. Use Google to see pictures of the difference between freehub and freewheel gears, then look at your gears to see which one you have. Are you sure you have 7-speed. If you have, you can change to a frewheel system because your shifter and derailleur should still work for it.
A problem with freewheel gears is that the top gear tends to have too many teeth - normally 14T sometimes 13, and that is too low for when you want to pedal at 25km/hr a lot of the time. You need 11T top gear for more comfortable pedalling. Cassettes nearly always have 11T top gear. You can buy 11T freewheels from Aliexpress under the brand DNP, but they cost around 25 Euros. You don't need any tool to fit one, but you need a freewheel tool to get one off. The freewheel removal tool is very similar to the cassette tool, but the splines are different and the listings are never clear which one it is, as they use the wrong words in the description, so be careful. Ask us to check if you're unsure. The whole matter of freewheels and cassettes is very confusing for everyone, especially when you add in Chinese translations.

You didn't show what was needed, but from what I can see, it looks like a freewheel. I told you to use Google to find the difference, then you'd know what to show; however, if you count the teeth on your top gear, that's all we need to know.
If it is a freewheel, you have the possibility to fit it to a motor-wheel. Like that, it'll work, but you might find that you have to pedal too fast. You can try your bike now. Use a phone app to show your speed. Find a bit of flat or downhill road and pedal at 25 km/hr in top gear to see how you like it. If you're happy like that, all is good, but, unfortunately, Yose don't seem to have 27.5" freewheel kits in stock. You need to help a few old ladies across the road, stroke some black cats or something like that to improve your luck.

That looks OK, apart from the fact that it's a cassette motor. You didn't tell me how many teeth your top gear has, which is important.what about the one you sended me this one it says its in stock, at this point im going to get this one since all of this is confusing and atleast the yose one is all compatible
