Torque Arms - Panic

It appears I will need a torque arm on my DIY e-bike as well.
After several failed attempts to sort out the wiring (DIY battery - three race packs wired together) I finally got it to work today.
Unfortunately, the wheel keeps popping out of the forks no matter how tight I do the nuts up.
I need something to lock it in place .... so I think I need a torque arm :(
As I have DIY'ed everything else I think I will have a go at trying to duplicate jerrysimon idea.
However, as I don't have an elaborate workshop it’s likely to be a lot more heath robinson
Anyone got any ideas for the modifiable base object?
I am thinking possibly an old flat bicycle spanner cut to shape and drilled?

Yes, a spanner is a good idea as a start point if its thick/strong enough. Some thin open bike spanners are fairly
soft and could open up under the torque though.

I am curious is this a larger motor i.e. 500w or 1000w ?

BTW my torque arm was made by hand (apart from the drilling) albeit by one of my mech engineering friends at work in the workshop. I looked at using a spanner but everyone I looked at then sat at the wrong angle to attach to the fork.

There are a few premade ones you can get on line.

Regards

Jerry
