I had to file mine out a wee bit,only for the width the depth was fine and the axle was nice snug fit,also fitted the torque arm .

Would it be possible to go back on topic please? Are there any issues with filing out the dropouts? Won't it weaken them?

For a front hub in steel fork, you just need to file the dropouts a few mm deeper. 8mm round file and 5 mins work. In a ally fork (most suspension forks) a torque arm is recommended.

I have an Ezee front hub. First on steel blabes, now on ally telescopics on the crossfire, haven't filed either, seems deep enough in to me. Did use a torque bracket though, made a bracket to attach it to the disc brake post:

I didn't have any issues with clearance to the motor.
