Forever Aloe Propolis Crème works wonders!
  2. Strava won't be used for the purpose of banning e-bike riders. Last night I was in a bit of a hoofed off mood, so gave it the beans cycling home. work shirt and trousers were dripping in sweat but it did the trick https://www.strava.com/activities/578038065 Anything over 15.4mph is 100% my effort! and you can see that a fair bit of that ride was over 15.4mph
  3. My batribike was less than £800. an i'm banking on it being a commuter for years to come
  4. on my road bike I fitted Slime inner tubes, one lasted 2 miles before went completely flat after picking up a thin nail. I then tried Halfords own brand slime, which is orange, in standard tubes, and never had an issue, my e bike has Halfords own brand slime in the tubes and it's gone well so far
  5. Probably faster, but my fitness level is nowhere near where it needs to be for that yet. I bought my e bike for commuting so I can cycle to work as there are no shower facilities at work.
  6. Update: did a 31 miles run, mostly on assist 3, pedalling with reasonable effort, 3/5 bars remaining https://www.strava.com/activities/561121499
  7. 28 miles with 2/5 battery bars remaining. (taking a reading whilst cycling with moderate assist) standard batribike 10.6Ah battery. using assist 3/4 most of the way with a few miles on throttle, just to try it out haha https://www.strava.com/activities/550170558
  8. Haha, yes the Granite thing did pop up when discussing this with friends First ride to work today, what a pleasure! I've done 60 miles on the bike in a week and it's better than i expected
  9. Well the bike arrived, very much loving it! I've done 50 miles so far, including a 30 mile run with moderate assist, and still had 2/5 battery left when i arrived home.
  10. I have used strava for a few years now, big thumbs up!
  11. A little bit of shock, then loosen it a little, then tighten a tiny bit, to work it free. some things you'll never get out, like a steel bolt in an aluminium casting!
  12. Fair enough! I love you idea, I'll be looking down this route come battery replacement time!
  13. My cyclo mio 505 displays text messages, however, trying to read them whilst moving is nigh on suicidal!
  14. I've used lipo's in RC cars under very high loads, up to 50c, and drones at moderate loads, and I've never conditioned new batteries. the critical voltage for lipo's is 3.2v per cell, below that it's a goner, the rule of thumb we used to use was about 3.4v per cell for the cut off voltage, 3.6v per cell is a little high imo!
  15. Shaft every time! the only thing i had to do to my Divvy was put a bit of hammerite on the shaft casing!
