Advice on choosing rear hub motor/kit
Thanks, very informative. Seems like I would be better to source individual components to tailor the end result.

Advice on choosing rear hub motor/kit
Thanks, a good endorsement. I have been to Woosh a couple of times to look at various models, unfortunately all to small despite Tony's best efforts to adjust. Ended up down the self build route

Advice on choosing rear hub motor/kit
Thanks Nealh Current set up is 17.5ah 36vBBS01B gives me 40 mile range average with fairly high assistance levels, would like to at least match this. Would like to stay at 250w if possible, sorry my reference to 1000w was a clumsy attempt at humour. 350w seems popular amongst forum members, is this an optimum for torque/battery life? I will contact woosh to see if there are larger 48v H/L batteries in the pipe line.

Advice on choosing rear hub motor/kit
Hi All Looking at DWG22C 48v 250w 60nm from Woosh, they only supply with 12ah battery, prefer 15ah. Any alternative recommendations would be very welcome. Currently enjoying my BBS01 but time for another build. I know a hub motor won't climb like a mid motor but looking for a more relaxed ride, however more torque the better (18st + knackered knees). Would be nice to keep things legal if possible. MInd you living in a town centre iam constantly being overtaken and cut up by e scooters and Deliveroo boys with 1000w hubs, sorry that should be another thread.

Are they the E6000, how is the offset compared to original? Thanks Steve

Alternative to Lekkie crank arms
Yes I agree, problem is finding the correct offset for the L/H crank. I know £100 for a pair of Lekkie crank arms sounds ridiculous but should fix the pedal alignement.

Thanks thats great- BBS01b progamming questions
H All Could do with some advise/sugestions regarding BBS01b programming the following, current settings in brackets basic max current (15A) low batt cutoff (31v) throttle throttle mode speed or current (Speed) Start voltage (11) End voltage (25) Start current (10) Pedal assist Start current (10) Slow start mode (4) Keep current (60%) Stop delay (10) Current decay (8) Stop Decay (10) Thought i had coppied origonal settings to a folder but messed it up!!! Thanks Steve- Wheels. Rims and spokes to be precise.
Thanks for the advice guy's. Ready built double wall wheels with a QR freewheel hub seem to be thin on the ground at present. Would like to stick with freewheel as the current 14 -34 megarange 7 speed works well with the stock 44t Bafang chainring, otherwise would have considered a cassette hub. To be honest I just fancied building a wheel, haven't built one since the early 70's. Totally agree BBP are brilliant if they have what you need. Recently converted one of my bikes to front disc, top quality wheel and forks from BBP for a bargain £60- Wheels. Rims and spokes to be precise.
Hi Nealh Do you have a preferred vendor for rims, spokes & standard hubs. Prices seem to be all over the place on line. Looking for standard 700 X 19 rim & QR freewheel hub, nothing fancy. Thanks Steve- How critical is the number of chain links?
I use this 118 link KMC chain from bankrupt bike parts, works well on my 8 speed and cheap as chips https://www.bankruptbikeparts.co.uk/6-7-speed-kmc-z50-118-link-3-32-cycle-chain-for-mega-range-derailleur-26-700c-350-000118-0001-00- White Lightning Clean Ride, anyone use it?
Thanks for the info, just ordere Thanks form the recommendation, have just ordered one- White Lightning Clean Ride, anyone use it?
Tried Clean Ride last year and found it performed as advertised, very quiet and smooth drive train. Particularly like the way the wax would flake of leaving the chain surprisingly clean. Only downside was I found it awkward to apply and hard to clean up any spillage. Best applied over rear cogs while back pedaling (as manufacturers video) impossible with BBS01. Went back to Finish line dry but may give it another go.- BBS01 help required with programming
New lead arrived and everything connected as expected, thanks to all for the advice.- BBS01 help required with programming
Thanks Its bit of a lottery I guess with this sort of thing, pcb looked poor quality with dry looking joints visible through clear plastic sheath. Have re ordered as per your link. Thanks- BBS01 help required with programming
Thanks I ordered exactly the same lead, have used the vendor before, fingers crossed will update when it arrives. Thanks- BBS01 help required with programming
Thanks It does look poor quality, just thought I might be missing something. Will by another. Cheers Steve- BBS01 help required with programming
Thanks I will send it back and repurchase, just want to try upping the keep current a little.- BBS01 help required with programming
Hi All I am having trouble programming my BBS01. new lead arrived from ebay today but will not connct to software (Error opening serial port) no option to choose port and the controler info is not showing on the software I have checked the connections and that the battery is turned on, restarted laptop and software. I guess it could be a faulty lead but probably an error on my part. Any ideas would be great. Many thanks Steve- BBS01 cutting out when changing assist level
Thanks - Lekkie Buzz barr or alternative
