Chinese battery
What is the dimensions of this battery pack? Can you shed some light on the installation......I take it it is just the internal cell pack which you install into your own case? Interested in replacing internal cell pack on a 36V 8Ah wisper battery

Freego battery Replacement
At last.........Battery replacement for £299 from ebay sellor £500+ from Wisper is still way over the top........ China has devalued its currency so cheaper batteries should be available. Now if only I can get SWMBO's little 36v 8Ah recelled for a bit less http://i61.tinypic.com/11tx72f.jpg Who has had their Wisper battery recelled and from where ?

Freego battery Replacement
Now if a battery pack like this (£200) could be fitted....... https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-battery/664-high-c-rate-polymer-li-ion-battery-heat-shrink-battery-pack-battery.html ........then I'd buy one for my bike and 1 for SWMBO

Freego battery Replacement
I could post the dead battery down via Yodel/Parcel2go/PasileyFreight etc if you can renew the pack and give costings The battery pack has been cut open to see the individual cells inside- thinking I could just buy these (RC planes)- or replace entire wisper pack with another. The £££ to inspect the dead battery pack would be better going towards a new battery pack. Is the battery supplier (China) not willing to sell just the battery pack? Have they been asked?

Freego battery Replacement
BMS was/is fine- bike was left for some months when wife had her operations and was unable to get out and about. Bike was the least of our worries at that time. Surely a replacement battery pack can be bought from your suppliers at less than £500+ quotation Could buy a new bike for that.

Freego battery Replacement
Why can't the internal battery pack be replaced? The charger works fine The case is still good The wiring and indicator lights are all fine The blue shrink wrapped battery pack is ALL that is required. The battery pack has only 4 wires- easy to replace in original case Why splash out OVER £500 when all that is needed is a replacement pack Getting reasonably priced battery pack should be made available, an option for customers/owners to consider . Others have posted about the battery being expensive Any cost savings to wisper owners would be welcomed A sale is better than no sale at all. I'm away furra another tody after my rant.

Need 1 Alpino Spoke Nipplle
Where can I get 1 spoke nipple for my nearly new Alpino? Tried the local bike shops (west Calder) and a motor bike shop without any luck. Are these special or will Halfords sell them?

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
Hi David Well I managed to get oot for a wee run on the bike this evening. Tried switching off the bike after a time when free wheeling and found No Drag Nothing Nada. Test 2......who came up with that bright idea? Need to have words as it was a complete disaster. Testing the wheel before I set off was easy, but trying to stop the bike, lift the front end and watch for any difference in wheel rotation- the drag- was impossible. I'll never suggest any tries my idea again !!! Never managed time to switch off the bike when pedalling to see if I met 'the bag of cement' effect (drag). Will try the bike at the weekend if the weather improves. Fingers crossed it is just ma auld legs

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
Thanks David for the reply Just back. Will try the freewheel test as you say.....once the weather clears. Will also try a different test. I'll spin the front wheel before I set off and then when I experience my 'drag', I'll stop and spin the front wheel again and hopefully not notice any difference. What if there is a differnce? The senond poster 'acucobol' mentioned he experienced the same effect as myself....could you also try my test? In the meantime, I understand it is safe to switch off the motor whilst riding. Are the 906 and 706 Alpino bikes identical with the motor and wiring? Again, many thanks David for the reply

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
Yes, I agree. Great to have Wisper onboard to answer questions put to them. I only switch it on if I am on an incline or needing to catch up with SWMBO in her 705. I don't see the need to have the power on unless it is necessary or a requirment for the bike to function properly. It feels as tho' the brakes are slightly on and you are meeting resistance.

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
It takes approx 30 seconds or so to clear after switching off the power. I posted here to find out from other Wisper 706 Alpino owners if they 'suffered' the same sysmtoms......which they have I know you are busy elsewhere and I appreciate you now taking the time to get answers from the makers to my question .

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
Any answer to the motor drag! Yes, the Alpino gear lever is much better. I think SWMBO would prefer it fitted to her 705. Still curious as to the motor drag on my Alpino being normal or a fault

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
Lever is as close as it can go. She can operate the gear levers on my Alpino lever much easier. Waiting on David from Wisper to comment on motor drag!

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
Shimano 7 speed......705 Shimano Alfine.........Alpino SWMBO finds it difficult pushing down to 1/2/3 gears - higher gears are in reach with her thumb. She rarely gets past 3rd gear. As for the Alpino motor drag.........I switch off the motor when cruising along on the flat or downhill as it is not needed. I only switch it back on when nearing an hill. As I switch the motor off after the incline, I can definately feel it drag for a time. Just curious as to this being a fault?

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
I'm not alone Is it a fault or is this normal for such a new bike?

Alpino 706 drag and 705 gear lever
2 observations with our bikes. Cruising along on my less than 70km Alpino with the power on is fine. When I switch the power off, I feel a distinct drag for a minute or two as I continue to pedal untill it clears then I can pedal as normal. Is this normal? It feels as tho the brakes are on (which they are not) or the motor is slightly dragging. As I said it clears after a time and then freewheels as normal or pedalling continues as normal The wifes 705 seems fine with switching off the motor. Only complaint/observation from SWMBO is the gear selection lever is easier to operate on my Alpino than on her bike. She has to remove her hand from the grip to operate gear lever with her finger when dropping a gear- small hands! With my alpino she can safely operate the gear lever with thumb and index finger keeping her hand on the grip. Don't want an accident as she has had both hips replaced and I can't cook !!! Can the Alpino gear lever be retro fitted to her 705? What would be the cost?
