  1. I agree oigoi, I respect your views and your contributions to the forum, look forward to picking your brains on issues in the future. But it is a 'choice' they make to leave. However, it is up to the rest of us to monitor the forum and give the odd PM when we feel things may be getting out of hand. Insults, or being ignored, or whatever would never make me leave this forum. I would not leave because of one or two or three people, whoever 'they' may be. There is an absolute wealth of information and not to say entertainment value here! I read the Pro Connect feels rough thread yesterday. I don't have a PC, and I have little knowledge of the finer points of bike engineering (no surprise there eh eddieo?) but I was amazed at the sharing of experience and knowledge. everyone who contributed from the very experienced to the rookie were treated with respect and given a hearing, brilliant. Now wouldn't it great if all threads were conducted like that?...but unfortunately this is planet earth, and this is 'the' e-bike forum so lets make the best of it.
  2. We'll have to agree to disagree, as your statement taken at face value is self contradictory. What I hear you say is, If people feel they are being bullied then they are being bullied - full stop - Which is clearly not true. But hey, Let's move on...
  3. not me eddieo? Eddieo hello are you there....hello... I have a bosch boiler...and they are great ....if that helps? :-)
  4. OK... so I feel threatened and attacked by this remark, oh and bullied and harassed! Does that mean that my feelings are accurate? Nooooope. Often we don't see things as 'they' are, we sometimes see them as 'we' are. Eggshells are not a very good foundation for any conversation.

Thank you. Looks like a really good deal.
  6. Thanks for that flecc, very interesting.
  7. flecc, has this been adopted by manufacturers yet, and where can I read up on it?
  8. It's hard to tell sometimes what's the right thing to do...but "Crime in multi-storey car parks. That is wrong on so many different levels." Gosh is that the time already?!

Cyclezee Where did you get the 8Gb memory from? and what make is it? Thanks
  10. Time for some light relief? 1) Nick Helm: "I needed a password eight characters long so I picked Snow White and the Seven Dwarves." 2) Tim Vine: "Crime in multi-storey car parks. That is wrong on so many different levels." 3) Hannibal Buress: "People say 'I'm taking it one day at a time'. You know what? So is everybody. That's how time works." 4) Tim Key: "Drive-Thru McDonalds was more expensive than I thought... once you've hired the car..." 5) Matt Kirshen: "I was playing chess with my friend and he said, 'Let's make this interesting'. So we stopped playing chess." 6) Sarah Millican: "My mother told me, you don't have to put anything in your mouth you don't want to. Then she made me eat broccoli, which felt like double standards." 7) Alan Sharp: "I was in a band which we called The Prevention, because we hoped people would say we were better than The Cure." 8) Mark Watson: "Someone asked me recently - what would I rather give up, food or sex. Neither! I'm not falling for that one again, wife." 9) Andrew Lawrence: "I admire these phone hackers. I think they have a lot of patience. I can't even be bothered to check my OWN voicemails."
  11. Maybe... painting empty cornflake boxes khaki in a semi dark room doesn't appeal to them? SORRY!...still thinking about tillson's posts, yes good point, maybe they have.
  12. tillson Surely you know the answer to at least one of those questions... :-) I'm intrigued, where do you get all those empty cornflake boxes? ...and why Khaki?
  13. Hey what a great name for a new model, the Tonaro Eddie!
  14. Let me clear up your confusion about why funkypigeon uses his Tonaro Eddie, it's faster than flying! :-)
  15. Thanks to Lynda for raising the issue, well done, and thanks to Bob for a well balanced and insightful reply. I feel that written media is such a blunt instrument, there are a lot of 'unknowns' we have to assume certain things and read between the lines etc. and sometimes the writer and or the reader don't 'get it'. If you know what I mean? :-) For example, an enthusiastic cheeky chapie may well just be doing what comes naturally to him every day of his life, and that's ok, the people around him know what he's like and learn to interact with who he is. In saying that there is NO ROOM for blatant disrespect and bullying, but until we get to know each other a lot better there will always be the danger for misunderstanding. I don't doubt that there are bullies in every walk of life and on every forum, but we need to identify carefully and correctly who they are not jump to the wrong conclusion about certain individuals. I don't like bullies, but on the other hand I hate the feeling that I have to 'walk on eggshells'...tiptoe around and whisper in hushed tones for fear of offending anyone. Offence is 'taken', you don't have to take it, you can chose not to. P.S. please don't write any nasty replies and if you don't like what I've said, shove off!!!...go figure... ;-)
  16. I'm not asking what, just, When will these surprises be shared with us mere mortals? 'Soon' is a relative term, so please use numbers :-)
  17. Wow, crank shaft heaven. More Beautiful, more logical, more energy-saving...
  18. Well if its not ridiculously expensive eddie boy just won't be interested, will he? :-)
  19. I'M SHOCKED...for the time being...
  20. In my uninformed and humble opinion, I would be completely shocked if the Wisper philosophy didn't change in the near future. David, post your thoughts?
  21. This is all very intriguing... Let me put my twa pennies worth of wild speculation in the pot... A well known and respected UK Hub bike supplier, has seen the light and has teamed up with flecc and various mysterious and shadowy figures to produce a Crank Drive that will be added to their well respected and market leading Hub Bike range. Am I close? I could name names, but I won't... :-)
  22. Dave Will you be looking into supplying Crank Drive bikes in the UK?
