  1. On paper it looks like a quality bike with performance to match...surely a couple of kgs extra doesn't matter as long as it it performs as quoted. If it turns out to be the best bike available in terms of perfrormance then i am sure evryone will be happy
  2. A few days after i got my powabyke,i went out to put it through its paces, not another bike in sight. After a few miles i turned off the road i was on onto another road which was quite steep, disappearing around a bend 100yds up was a guy on racing bike, all the gear and muscles like he worked out every day. On my old bike if i had got up the hill i would have been lucky to do 5mph.On the powabyke i averaged double that and within 2 mins caught up with the racing bike, I didn't look behind to see his face but he must have been gutted to be passed by a 46 year old on what admittedly looks like an old designed bike..........powabyke 1-0 racing bike !!
  3. i think we would see more bikes and e-bikes if the government started to invest in specific bike lanes. We have the lancashire cycle way, a marvellous piece if engineering work near blackburn,,,the way they have painted those white lines is unbelievable..!! that is really going to encourage people to get out of cars and onto bikes. In the south of france a few years ago i discovered 30 miles of continuous cycle lanes with protection from the roads. The way forward is investment for cyclists. So all you MPS who are reading this forum...get your bleedin fingers out !!
  4. i've no idea but what would you gain from it,i don't think it would increase the speed, your battery life would decrease, you would probably get up hills a little better but the powabyke is pretty good anyway. I think you would increase climbing speed but loose on distance, i suppose it is what suits you best. Let me know if you do it and if it worth it cheers
  5. sounds good frank..but i think it will be the new year.
  6. ah,now i have a cyber friend on the inside i might have a chance,,how about some free free suspension forks for xmas !!!!
  7. gutted,i have just looked at the powabyke website and whe win a lithium battery was won by somebody who lives not a million miles from me,looks like i will have to buy one when i have saved the pennies,,,
  8. i have seen 2 powabykes near to where i live and 2 chained up in blackburn town centre. My son says he was passed by two powabykes whilst travelling up a long hill nearby
