  1. If it any good to you, I have a 9 speed shifter that I was keeping as a spare, before I cut the indicator part off the shifter I was using I brought this one just in case turned out I didn’t need it, my modifications were fine its brand new but doesn’t have a cable, yours for £15 posted
  2. Is this your bike? This bike has a totally different clamp arrangement to most modern bikes but the clamp area is setback anyway if it is you won’t have any offset problems with the ncx post
  3. After all the trouble with the impulse 2 motors, I’m surprised to see 2020 models still have impulse 2 motors. I spotted a 2020 Kalkhoff Sahel for sale with this motor, I was wondering if the issues have been fixed and if so why on earth they kept the same name. For many just mentioning “impulse 2” has people running away.
  4. Quote from a recent conversation with Jimmy about re-celling.
  5. why buy an adapter when you can get a the right shifter for around £15 https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=Altus%209%20Speed%20Shifter&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-154084-954045-4&mkcid=2&keyword=altus%209%20speed%20shifter&crlp=435206988231_&MT_ID=584476&geo_id=32251&rlsatarget=aud-381667280603:kwd-433649019836&adpos=&device=c&mktype=&loc=1006959&poi=&abcId=1139966&cmpgn=1583412208&sitelnk=&adgroupid=59753042055&network=g&matchtype=p&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxYn2y5HR7wIVybTtCh3U7Q9vEAAYAiAAEgJABPD_BwE
  6. “Don’t sell my personal details” I’m not a big fan of links to websites that will sell my personal details unless i specificity tell them not to. how many people have opened the link and spotted the tick box saying “Don’t sell my personal details”
  7. yes that’s my concern, it’s not a nice enough bike to take a risk especially @ £500. Maybe if it doesn’t sell he may be flexible on the price I know he wants it out of the way but I also know he believes it to be worth £500. meanwhile I continue searching “bikes for sale” adds
  8. I’d arranged to view the Freego today but someone closer to it than me brought it before 8:30 this morning (Just after I’d posted my message here) it was only advertised yesterday evening on Facebook:rolleyes: The giant is in the wrong section on eBay so still for sale, the owner had “his and hers” bikes and sold “his” last year for £500 so won’t take any less for the step through. Now I’m unsure about the Giant ? I don’t want to make a rash decision but these things are selling for more than they were a year ago.
  9. As others have said keep the testing riders phone/wallet/keys also Ask for photo ID
  10. Hi folks, I’m still looking for a bike for my sister and two bikes have popped up locally, they are both a used, in fair condition and both sellers are asking £500. As i’m not familiar with either model, I thought I’d ask here if there any pitfalls or short comings with either bike. Any thoughts/comments welcomed . Giant Easy-E+2. (I’ve ridden this one) front hub motor, torque sensor, been in storage for over a year, battery kept fully changed, rusty chain and top gear skips a little. Freego Hawk. (yet to view) Rear hub motor, owner doesn’t know torque from cadence! new battery, said to be in good working condition
  11. Homer, I apologise for posting my comments in your thread where they were seen out of context, I didn’t realise your link had taken me out of my own thread where they were relevant. good luck with the sale
  12. “PERFUME “ dont talk to me about perfume, its inappropriate use is one of my pet hates, well it was pre Covid when I swam 3 times a week. On occasion one of the old gym tarts would get in the pool still wearing makeup and enough perfume to down passing birds, heavier than air this would collect just above the water so with each breath I took I got a lung full, triggering my asthma and putting an early end to my swimming session PS : aerosol propellants is another trigger for me, I have to use stick type antiperspirants and if I ever use an air freshener, I hold my breath as I spray and then leave the room
  13. Thanks for your interest but we’re hoping for a bike with 26” wheels, or 700c. shame about your cat, there’s too many barstools out there
  14. I see, you have the wisper, I also see your 135 miles away from me
  15. What have you for sale?
  16. Easy enough to make, I made one for my aunt because she didn’t want to spoil her hair when I take her out for a walk (89years old) I used magnetic fasteners like these below, I would avoid zips and Velcro as it could be irritating rubbing against your neck
  17. Play it again Sam ;) https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/new-green-inititive-to-get-people-out-of-cars-and-onto-bikes-public-transport.40411/#post-603641

Not forgetting my Lidl waterproof walking boots and if it really cold I also wear neoprene socks, aka fisherman’s socks
  19. Have you got the same software version in Both bikes? I had a update in my Bosch ALP motor and it had a noticeable change in performance.
  20. I’ve used Ali quite a few times in the past when we had ”low value = no import duty” on average I’d pay about 40% less than UK price, I didn’t mind waiting for delivery which could be as little as 10 days, occasionally my goods didn’t turn up and it then took months to get my money back. Now all things are taxed, the last time I looked on Ali the prices were too close to eBay to risk a long delivery.
  21. That’s all well and good but once you create a bridge between universes you’ll also end up creat exotic particles that will bring an end to the universe we call home. For me Its too high a price to pay for an inter dimensional battery, especially when it’s easier to teleport than it is to cycle to your destination.
  22. Its a shame but at this point for me the value of the bike is academic, a round trip of close to 300 mile for a bike that doesn’t work is not for me (especially when we’re not allowed to make unnecessary journeys)
  23. Ouch 140 miles away from me, shame to say but I’m out. good luck with the sale anywho
  24. I’ve been looking for a bike for my sister and I’ve recently seen a couple of full working 705’s on eBay sell for between £530 and £646, another with a high reserve didn’t sell. They were too far away from me so I didn’t bid on them. may I ask where in the country you are, if you’re not asking to much and you’re not too far away I may take a chance
