  1. What voltage is the battery please?
  2. I put the battery in the front carrier basket when i did one.
  3. These guys reckon the ss45e works at 3v? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=281782377861&globalID=EBAY-GB Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. That was my next port of call to change the hall. Also I've left the sensor in cct and that may be pulling the voltage down. I may have to build a little impedance matching cct like I did with my metro. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I'm trying to add a throttle to a torque sensor only bike. The sensor has three wires, a 3.3v supply, a ground and a signal. Shorting the supply and the signal give me wide open throttle but connecting a standard Hall effect throttle doesn't work at all. Is there such a thing as a throttle for 3.3v supplies? 6. Just saw some in Poundland. Off I go. Cheers Dave. Ps just bought another A2B get it tomorrow!!!
  7. Hi all I've knackered the speed sensor on my kit. It's a S06 controller with the LCD3 display. I'm trying to find a supplier of the sensor that's not in China as I ride this bike every day (kit came from BMS originally). It's the three pin one and I'll need the spoke magnet as well (rear wheel nicked as wiring cut). I've the rest of the kit and a donor bike but just missing the sensor and magnet to complete. Anyone know of anyone in the U.K. that can supply one?
  8. Not sure if you can still get a battery, we're in West Yorkshire
  9. My local bike charity have acquired a Giant Lafree that they want to sell as seen. Needs a battery but looks complete. Offers around £100. Let me know if interested and I'll put you in touch. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160416/225e4703fe37e35c9eee30a284c5e2dd.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160416/410f3247cc5067ddacffa22cdc834bb2.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160416/0f1d5f8992f9b3b6b706d9bcfbe65f28.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Whats the price on the coyotes and what condition they in?
  11. All done, i'll get some images and video of the finished project up here soon.
  12. Think you hold the button down for a few seconds when turning it on.
  13. I'm testing it at the moment, just waiting for the proper battery to arrive, but all good so far, bit noisy but very torquey.
  14. Got a GSM to test at the mo.
  15. My display/controller on my bike is soley Arduino based now with the stock controller just doing "dumb" power delivery. have a look at 4D systems for displays as they're super cool. Arduino is great at getting sensor data and acting upon it. This is the kit that started me off, http://www.banggood.com/UNO-Basic-Starter-Learning-Kit-Upgrade-Version-For-Arduino-p-970714.html Now i use the nano version as its a lot smaller to integrate.
  16. Mid drive is one I'm trying from Woosh with an external controller, haven't had much time this week to work on as doing repairs for folk, so maybe next week will have some tests done. Spins up ok and looks good though.
  17. The Imax isn't up to doing the pack unless you're going to do each 3.7v cell group individually. A BMS board is a good idea if you want simple charging from a 24v power supply. You'd need to know the maximum current draw of your bike and the pack configuration.
  18. I built some battery mounts like previously in this thread and used them on a "nano" brompton kit. both batteries fit in the handlebar bag quite nice.
  19. Brand spanking new bike infrastructure in Bradford gets it horribly wrong. Even Chris Boardman weighed in as to how stupid this is and not what was on the original plans, CityConnect interpreted the plans whilst the building was going on (to favour motorists). The original plan had a raised bikeway that had priority over all small side roads, so motorists had to give way to oncoming cyclists. That became this. The raised bikeway was dropped at every junction and cyclist have to give way in all directions at every junction.
  20. I'll ask the woman at work that I did her Brompton for. I used two of these batteries so I'll ask if she wants any spares.
  21. Oh and you can turn off the "smart" function and just use it as a very bright front light.
  22. Hopefully as most of the riding on the Metro is in the city there shouldn't be anyone riding round with full beam on (mind you it is Bradford). It was very bright on the darker sections and I've got other lights as marker lights. For the money and the fact it's rechargeable not bad for a tenner.
  23. A polaroid pitcher? http://rlv.zcache.co.uk/retro_polaroid_camera_pitcher-r071606d35f1944d198bb4bdba190c4d4_2wnyp_8byvr_324.jpg
  24. Was looking for a new brighter front light for my A2B metro and came across the Benex Intelligent front light. The blurb said: Rechargeable lithium battery led cycle light This light won the prestigious IF product design award The light has built in smart beam technology that automatically detects the surrounding light and continually adjusts the beam intensity according to the surrounding light Providing 6 - 10 hours run time from fully charged Complies with German traffic regulations with cut off / anti dazzle beam Comes complete with 1 x smart beam led rechargeable light 1 x cycle bracket 1 x usb power cord 1 x instruction manual Is on offer at £9.99 at http://www.madhog.com/cycle-lights/2014-if-product-design-award-winning-cycle-light so thought I'd give it a go. It's supposed to adjust the intensity of the beam depending on surroundings and also does not dazzle other motorists whilst giving a clear view of the road. It looks like this: Had the first real test on Wednesday and it does exactly what it says. Doesn't dazzle motorists and adjusts the brightness according to surroundings. The video doesn't do it justice as the beam is a lot wider than it looks. I have it mounted on my front crown just to avoid more handlebar clutter.
