March 20, 201610 yr Helmet/Dash Cams are bought for one of 2 reasons.. 1/ To record and show off ones hair raising exploits and bore ones friends and family!! 2/ To record evidence of an incident or in an accident. In the second case they need to be good enough and mounted in such a way to be able to read the reg numbers.. I am not too keen on helmet mounts as they may become an issue if you fall on them.. I was nearly clobbered twice in 20 seconds on Saturday and my trusty Gopro recorder the reg plates quite clearly (play in HD). Good Job I dont suffer from Road Rage....
March 20, 201610 yr I decided against going for something attached to my helmet, and went for glasses with an inbuilt camera. It seems the logical place to have a primary camera. I had a look around, and didn't find anything on Amazon or the helmet cam vendors that I liked - so took a gamble on AliExpress. I got these, and am very happy except for 1 thing: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1080P-HD-Camera-Glasses-Video-Recording-Sport-Sunglasses-DVR-Eyewear-With-16G-TF-Card-1080P-30fps/32395318845.html I even got the seller to include a set of clear lenses for free - although they didn't arrive with the first order and he had to send them after (my mistake also - I didn't see the 16gb card in the first delivery, he sent a 2nd and then I found the first in the packaging..oops). My only complaint is that, like many Chinese camera products, once the memory is full, it doesn't loop. I have to remember to delete every couple of days. They're no longer available though, but others are out there: Spotted these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Black-SG110-Waterproof-HD-1080P-Video-Recorder-Sunglasses-Camera-Photo-Taking-w-8G-Memory-Card-for/32613332484.html?spm=2114.10010108.0.64.IwdhbY&s=p

Can you control / setup this camera from a smart phone app? If so, is the app any good? I had a look on the App Store and it looked poor. Edited March 22, 201610 yr by tillson

April 27, 20169 yr How did you do this? What software? http://filmora.wondershare.com/ Its a free trial that puts a watermark on the film until you buy it. It took me a while to figure out the front and back on one film, but once sorted it wasnt too hard. I know how to remove the watermark if you want a better try before buying, and if you want any tips please PM me..Phill
