High speed accident on a Designer Mercedes Smart eBike

Featured Replies

I was out on my cycle run today which include pass through a public park, I was minding my own business when the accident happened, blind, stupid or what!!

How do I load a video on here? I caught the accident on my handlebar designer colour co-ordinated cam!

you need to upload it to youtube then post the link.

I don't know about youtube I never use it, so I guess thats that idea down the pan, the minute film is 72mb so I can't post it here. I will see if I find a kid to sort it for me :-)

sign up to youtube, then post your video there. Youtube will take a few minutes to process your video. After that, you can watch it there. Then come back here, click on the 'media' button and paste the URL to your video.

Hope you and the bike are ok?

OK, video now loaded, thank goodness for grand children, look what they have managed to do in a few minutes :-)

More importantly I hope that dog is OK:rolleyes:

I could be mistaken, but is that footpath you are riding on?

It's a designer footpath so it's ok.

I wondered about that too, also the speed doesn't seem right for a Smart bike, it must have been something really quick like one of these

Sour grapes? :-) Yes its a path that is on a cycle route so shared by pedestrians, blind dogs and cycles.

Maybe it's just me but where's the "high speed accident?"

Maybe, just maybe, he is prone to slight exaggeration.

An accident is defined as "an event that happens by chance or that is without apparent or deliberate cause", I was travelling at speed when the dog didn't look where it was going and walked into me hence creating the "accident", it was with good fortune that I chose a top designer bike with top of the range MT4 disc brakes which minimised contact and prevented a serious accident, luckily with my excellent forward vision and fluid risk assessment continually running I saved the dogs life. We did make contact, luckily with the smooth lines of the cycle and my lightning reactions, we were both fine :-)

You didn't say Mercedes once.

I always slow down and take great care when dogs are near to the road or path i'm cycling on, i would be devastated to hit one.

Cats ?.... well they're fair game, i just wind on the power and aim for them.

The problem I have is with all the birds that flock around me when I'm riding it, its obvious that they can recognise class when they see it and want me to show them what I can do with it :-)
