December 14, 20205 yr Hi guys I currently have a wooshbikes SWX02 kit fitted to my bike. Happy with it, no issues. Motor is currently mounted on a 700c rim. What i would like to do is get a 27.5 rim with a motor so i can have more tyre clearance. The kit i have has the following... Lishui 48V 17 Amps sine-wave controller 48V 12AH HL downtube battery with Samsung 18650-29E cells I want to keep everything as it is but have a 27.5 wheel with a rear hub motor. I was thinking a Q128H 36v 201 rpm. I understand at 48v and with a 17amp controller this would give me good torque levels. I want to be able to swap wheels and just plug in the connectors. What are my choices in regards to plug and play hub motors to fit with my current kit? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks
December 14, 20205 yr The 36v 201rpm at 48v will spin faster at 270rpm so torque will be less, better off buying the 48v 201 rpm 128cst if you want torque. December 14, 20205 yr Author Much appreciated Nealh. Only reason I was considering the 36v motor was of a few threads i read. 36v hub powered by 48v would be 33% faster overall. Torque and speed. For off road use a bit higher top speed would be good. My current swxo2 tops out at 18mph. The steepest hill i have around here is 10% at its worst. Probably half a mile long in total. My current swx02 has no problems with this. Thanks

The 201 rpm Q128C was always 260 rpm. I'm not sure about the Q128H. You might find that at 48v your "201 rpm" motor does 328 rpm.

December 14, 20205 yr Many thanks So what do you guys reccomend i go for good torque low 20's top speed Cheers Buy the cassette hub from topbikekit, if you don't want 201rpm buy the 260rpm but it must be 48v and not 36v. 48v will be more efficient then overvolted 36v.

December 15, 20205 yr Author How much efficiency is lost by going with 36v instead? I wont be using this new motor for long distances at all. A bit confused now because i have read in many different forums threads a 36v q128 is a good idea at 48v. Thanks

Thanks 201 rpm 36volt q128H from Bms battery is a good idea.I run mine with 48volt 17ah controller.Very torquy.I had another 36volt q128C 201 rpm with same battery and controller as with the 128H motor, it burned up in a hill the q128H would have no problem with.
