August 21, 20241 yr Hi, Just new to forum, been having problems with the above, any help appreciated! Was out on bike then stopped to chat to someone, everything fine before that, when i started to move off there was no pedal assist but throttle was working! I also had full battery on my display and was still registering speed? This has happened on and off recently its driving me nuts lol! when i pedal with no assist there is no noise from motor.Any help appreciated ! I am not technically minded and had conversion done by someone its a MTB 29er converted. Thanks!
August 21, 20241 yr It looks to me that your torque sensor is faulty. Incidentally, I use the throttle all the time on mine as I find the torque sensor only tiring, so I could live with it faulty.

You have to switch on when the pedals have no feet or other force on them because there's an initialising calibration of the torque sensor immediately after you switch on.
August 21, 20241 yr +1 to what saneagle says - as someone who has a TSDZ2, I got caught out with this 'not waiting' or starting with 'pedal pressure' etc. The initialising takes, 3, maybe 4 seconds at the most. I use the VLCD6 display and on powering on, the display doesn't initially show the full battery level - when it does it is at that point that I consider it ok to pedal off.
August 21, 20241 yr The OP said that speed was still being registered. When my sensor/magnet has become mis-aligned, after a few minutes riding (with power) the display shows an error code (can't remember the number?) but until the error code appears, the motor runs ok I'm running OSF so maybe these things differ with OEM firmware?
August 21, 20241 yr Author Many thanks for all the replies, when i was stopped i didnt switch it off at all but display might have went in to sleep mode, had one foot resting on a pedal when i was chatting...seems strange same thing happening on different days, will try tomorrow without weight on pedals, will also check alignment of speed senor magnet. Thanks!
April 8Apr 8 i have one problem for some reason my tsdz2b when i switch on via vcld 5 and set the controller to eco and go to move off it gives me full power, this happens even when i turn off the pedal assist it still delivers max power on any setting anyone can point me to the problem before i take the whole unit off the bike ,its been on for 3 years now only had minor issues in all that time.
April 8Apr 8 my tsdz2b tong sheng motor has started giving full power even when the vcld controller settings are set to off i am begining to suspect the torque sensor but could it be something else. ???
