Bosch motor failure

I've just been out on our other Bosch bike (Liqbike) and tried it without power and it felt the same so I think the resistance I felt was just because I wasn't used to riding without the motor. I did notice though that the motor was much quieter than my Cube, approx 10 miles on the clock vs approx 320 on mine though.

Anyone suffering with a Bosch motor out of warranty can breath a sigh of relief! Circuit boards are very robust and gears seem to be standing the test of time but the bearings do fail from time to time. With the right knowledge and equipment, they are pretty straight forward to change and relatively cheap. I can't promote my business on here but hopefully I can show you a helpful video on the Bosch CX motor

loads of crap builds up if you dont take care in that area ;)

you could also water proof the pcb while ur at it ;)

No need really. The PCB is pretty good at resisting moisture. This is a photo of the motor in the video. Water has been in there for some time. If you zoom in you can see water droplets on everything and water ran out when I removed the cover. No issues with the circuit board though!

i can see some crud on the pcb but it might have a coat of something like the above on it but id still do it anyway as you cant buy those anywhere so better safe than sorry and its not going to take 2 mins is it ;)
