Sounds like a pedal bearing, I usually swap Pedals from another bike to check and most of the time that’s where the noise is coming from. i’m like Nealh, do most of my own servicing, except when I buckled a wheel. Mike

What year? Is it fitted with cable calliper, hydraulic rim or hydraulic disc brakes? The calliper brakes are shimano, the rim hydraulic are Magura HS11. Don’t know about hydraulic disc. regards.

Is the original charger supplier for the 10Ahr Panasonic batteries still OK to charge these higher capacity Vinteky 20.8Ahr batteries or is a different charger required?

Bought one of the ’Geman’ batteries last May (2019) from a similar supplier based in Portsmouth and they get them in from Germany (think they may have more than one ebay name - batteries and exactly the same, price the same, picture the same). Works fine, and the 20.8Ah capacity is great...
