Good to see that the company has taken this incident seriously..... and so they should, it was a terrible standard of driving with complete disregard for other road users.

I have a bottle battery. Those lights are normal. The red led is always lit and the other 4 led lights are green when the battery is fully charged. As the charge depletes the green led lights will go out one by one until only the red led is showing. Although I tend not to let the charge go that low.

Decathlon B Twin bikes do seem to get a good rep every time I've seen them talked about on other forums. The Rockrider mountain bike and the Triban road bike are often being recommended. I'd say they're definitely worth taking a serious look at.

A clear case of dangerous driving imo.... and its irrespective whether there's a cycle lane or not, cyclists have as much right to use the road as anyone else. Seems to me he wanted to stay behind his colleague in front, at any expense. We all know how impatient drivers can get with cyclists...

Ok, I get it now..... Thanks for the info. Only recently fitted a kit, so it'll be a while yet before i'm looking to upgrade, maybe next summer.

So a separate company from KTM motorcycles now then, with just the rights to use the KTM name ? These bikes do seem to be as cool looking in the ebike world as KTM motorcycles are as cool in the motorcycle world. The look of the majority of ebikes out there just turn me right off and mountain...

Are these bikes actually made by KTM the Austrian motorcycle company ? Must admit, I think they look damn cool.

BTW..... this is the kit fitted to my Carrera hybrid.

It really is easy to fit these kits and you only need basic tools that you would use with a bicycle.... I fitted the kit to a Carrera Crossfire hybrid. I chose the 8fun kit because its £65 cheaper than the Cyclotricity kit, if you want the pedelec sensor, led display and bottle battery.

Seeing as you've already bought a Giant hybrid bike, which is a decent bike.... I would say fit a kit to it yourself. Its what I did and I found it really easy. I fitted the 8fun kit and it works great.

Ok, thanks, I have the 8fun kit on my bike.... I may research this more at sometime, if I feel I want more speed at some stage.

How do you get the 8fun kit to do that speed ?

I've heard of these..... these batteries should work well the latest motors incorporating Flux Capacitor technology, originally invented back in the mid 80's by a Doctor Emmett Brown. Fitted to the latest ultra light frames, made from unobtainium, it should make a fantastic ebike.

Can you really apply a mathematical formula to how much something is worth second hand ? I would have thought there's far too many variables, time of year, colour, condition, mileage.... and how desirable something is can change from month to month with fickle fashions. Something is only worth...
