Thanks for clarifying the B. I suck out and replace the grease on a regular basis, so mine's just split from it being removed and put back on so often. They're not the most robust component on the BBSxx's.

How much grease and what type was on the original mechanism? I think the pawls constantly rub on the outer bit whilst freewheeling, so manufacturers must use something to reduce friction wear.

Cheapest and easiest start, is to leave it charging on the charger for a few days. This may rule out the possibility of any unbalanced cells, causing the pack to not perform as well as it should.

I do like their hoon laws. The thought of any whistleblowers having the option to ring the hoon hotline, does make me snigger a bit though.

The Carrera Crossfire-E has an in frame mount battery, so will have a different handling experience to your proposed component swap onto another bike. Your Batribike has the battery at the rear. You could sell the Batribike at a loss and buy a Carrera Crossfire-E using Halford's finance. See if...

I totally agree with Billy. Sell the bike, test ride other potential bikes, buy the one you like. There are so many pitfalls in installing the existing components on another bike, unless you are totally confident in your mechanical and electrical skills.
