should I change to a sinewave controller

I know I will be soundly beaten by the crew here if wrong, but the planetary gears of your motor may be the culprit. Changing the controller may not help. It have put a sine wave controller in a non sine wave bafang powered bike and it made no difference in the sound once up to speed in its...

    Cheap tv offer

This looks like a rebranded Viking Harrier, sold by Avocett Sports. If it is, £499.00 is a most excellent price for the spec delivered. I have not seen any problems with the Harrier over the last three years that is quality or system related. I nice semi light bike (for an e-folder) and works...

Hopefully going to buy a wisper 905 torque

If there were two bars showing on the dashboard it means you have 25 to 50% of your battery's capacity left. 30% will still show as half. When the bike is under load the indicator will drop showing the drop in voltage due to the load. On a steep hill, with low pedalling input, it might just...

    Servicing Schedule

A basic service and a check over by any good bike shop would not hurt. An ebike dealer would be ideal. Any bike, electric or otherwise would benifit from a yearly service. Consider it an mot of sorts. Even if everything is ok, a good mechanic checks everything for tightness, brake wear, tyre...

Thoughts on using high intensity flashing red light during day

I have mine on night and day, everyday! I have a super bright mounted on the rear of my helmet as well as a standard flashing red mounted on the carrier rack.

Who makes these? Ebike search challenge!

It could have been a WIN ELOAD GRAPHITE sold by Raleigh last year. It has a 400wh Bosch system. They do not seem to be available this year.

    Bosch Engine Repairs After Warranty??

On the close side of ten thousand miles on two crank drive bikes, I have never had a chain breaking issue. To be fair, this has been mainly commuting but I regularly get up on the pedals. My new Yamaha powered Haibike has been flawless over the 1,800 miles already on it. I have customers with...

Hopefully going to buy a wisper 905 torque

Maybe this question has been asked before, but how can a bike that delivers 500 to 600 watts of power be legal for what he needs it for?

    Bosch Engine Repairs After Warranty??

You speak broadly for any dealers that sell a bike with a Bosch system. I am replying not on behalf of the dealer I work for, but as someone whom works for one. I took the Bosch/Yamaha training in Nottingham one and a half years ago. At no time, during these four days, was I shown any...

Hybrid Tyres, Will Slicks Make A Difference

Going from a 26 x 2.10 MTB @65psi tyre to a 26 x 1.5 @85 psi Schwalbe City Jet on a push bike increased my speed and reduced my effort dramatically. A regular journey that took me 40 minutes, then took 30 minutes. You should see better performance on an ebike going to a smaller, higher pressure...

    Haibike... Bosch or Yamaha?

this HTML class. Value is I just looked at this video comparison. It appears that the reviewer had an apples to oranges comparison saying that different riding styles would determine whom liked what. He did give the edge to Bosch in some areas of the test. What he also pointed out was how much...

Not a Gtech specific thread but lets talk about dealership attitude.

Wow! Did we not get a good nights sleep? Somebody certainly is cranky today. As for the bike that was for sale, I still think it was a good price considering the upgrades done on the bike. I did not blow up the pictures to look at the rust on two of the bolts as you did however. I get bikes...

Not a Gtech specific thread but lets talk about dealership attitude.

Or non dealers that work in the ebike market. And btw, the G Tech is under powered, over rated, mis sold, and too expensive for the spec in my personal opinion as an ebike technician. Combining this with zero face to face cutomer support, it is not a product that I would recommend.

How long should a chain last on a E-MTB

This is a fair observation as many will echo a similar senario, myself included. The big differences in yesterdays MTB's and todays ebikes are many, firstmost being a 250watt motor driving the chain along with one's legs. Ebikes are heavier. Old MTB's had 7 or 8 speeds with a wider chain and a...

How long should a chain last on a E-MTB

My Haibike Sduro Trekking, with a Yamaha system, has its original chain and sprockets. After over 1600 miles is showing little in way of wear. I replaced the chain and cassette on my old bike, a Panasonic crank drive, twice in 8,000 miles. I had a customer with a Yamaha powered Haibike Fullseven...

    Are diesel cars now worthless?

Right you are about diesels getting better. And different types of diesel motors create different levels of pollution especially when not well maintained. Having said that, I think that cheating in emissions tests by major manufacturers have put a huge nail in their collective coffins.

    Are diesel cars now worthless?

True petrol head since day one. Never owned or would own a diesel. I have never been gagged by a petrol vehicle like I am almost daily by black smoke spewing diesels. Good riddance I say. Now an electric car I would own because of their quiet power. However, when you do your homework about...
