    ecrazyman controller to torq 2

I'm no expert, but if the motor sounds like it's running, but the wheel doesn't spin, it sounds like it's actually running backwards, and so freewheeling internally. Other than asking ecrazyman/experimenting with the connections, I don't know what to suggest.

    Wisper spokes

I'd just like to offer a public note of thanks to Norman, as I broke a spoke yesterday, droped him an email, and within 24hrs got a respose from him saying he'd post me replacements. I don't think it can get better than that with regard to after sales support, thanks again! :)

    CNN Report On Electric Bikes

It's a pity as even though I know that they're much maligned here, I still think that the design would appeal to young professionals a bit more than some of the models currently available here. I believe people like their gadgets to be smooth and sleek, as reflected in the world of consumer...

    Wisper workshop toolkit?

I've been having a bit of a search, and the only six notch tool I can find is this one, I suspect it probably won't fit though :( . Might be worth dropping Norman at Wisper a line to find out what he uses, my guess is that it's some proprietary Chinese version.

    Protanium

Well here's an interesting little site that talks about adapting A123's cells used in Dewalt power packs for e-bike use. The main part is by someone who'se running two 36v packs in sieries, it seems though there's no reason why one couldn't run them in parallel, with the appropriate diodes.

    Bottom Bracket Seizure

I think it might be slightly, as it seems to be a smooth metalic layer laid onto the surface of the spindle, probably to help the bearings slide by.

    DIY stage 7: first ride !! :)

Pheasants and Grouse aren't too keen either, though quite often the Grouse (being not the brightest of animals) will run directly away from the sound - i.e. down the middle of the road :D, I've seen them do this with cars too...

    Bottom Bracket Seizure

I serviced my BB recently, and whilst soaking the bearings noticed a lot of fine metal shards floating off them. I thought at the time that these were from the bearing cages rather than anything else. Having regreased with teflon/lithum grease from Halfords (bought years ago) they seem to be...

    Shimano dynamo light bulb.

The original bulb in my Wispers headlamp also didn't last very long, I did think at the time that this might be due to the pulse nature of the hub dynamo's output. I replaced it with one of these. Several months later, it's still going strong :) . What I'd really like for xmass is one of...

Directgov advice about "off road" buttons

Indeed, and what with the limiting factor of cost, are 'the kids' really going to start mowing down old ladies on fast e-bikes? Even a kit is expensive, once you take a decent battery into account. When the builder has taken all the time and care to assemble it, I think they're rather...

Directgov advice about "off road" buttons

I'd say that in urban areas, the police have far more important things to worry about, and in the country there simply isn't the police presence. I live fairly close to a large police station, and in the year that I've lived here, I can count the number of times I've seen a traffic patrol car...

    e-bike...without pedals

I wonder where the law would stand if you motorised one of these...could be useful for people who don't have enough knee movement for a traditional bike, as has been discussed here.
