    DIY controller housing?

I have a 48v hailing battery arriving for my Vulcan tomorrow. The controller box I ordered is coming from China so could be a while. Anything I could use in the meantime that's sturdier than a crappy frame bag?

750w mid drive Vs 1500w hub drive

So as I do some big hills mid drive is probably going to work out better for me then

750w mid drive Vs 1500w hub drive

I am thinking of modding my Vulcan e spec even further with some big power kit. I want to know the pros and cons of each. I'm guessing the mid drive will be waayy better range. Also would like to know the minimum 48v battery I would need for at least 20 mile range in each case

    SPOKES FOR 20” Batribike Wheels

Take out a spoke and measure the length, just remember you will have to bring it back to the same tension to keep it true. As for guage based on an image of the bike they look quite thick, possibly 12g but a local bike shop will be able to advise you better on what you have. I've just had to...

    Widest full commuter guards

I'm north east. They were another option, my schwalbe ice spiker is pretty wide though so 70mm+ would be the ideal

    Widest full commuter guards

Want maximum coverage for the coming winter, I have sks beavertails fitted but the rear isn't long enough and they are rather flimsy. Was looking at sks bluemels 75u but they are expensive, anything similar that won't break the bank? Not interested in mudhuggers etc I want full guards with stays...

    Vulcan e spec spokes

Yep done it a few times myself definitely worth learning. I had already had to true the wheel earlier in the year due to spokes coming loose

    Vulcan e spec spokes

I have experience in the matter, my old falcon spark bike broke a lot of spokes, as did my partners till we bought a new wheel. It was a poor build and low quality spokes in both cases. This one I suspect was from an impact so hopefully more won't go, the rim doesn't appear to be damaged. It...

    Vulcan e spec spokes

Went ahead and measured, 235mm if anyone needs

    Vulcan e spec spokes

Anyone know what size the motor wheel spokes are? One has just broken at the nipple. It is a drive side spoke if that makes a difference

    Clunking hub

It's unbranded as far as I can tell, came in this kit we bought to replace the original wheel as spokes kept breaking https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/36V-250W-Rear-Wheel-Electric-Bicycle-Motor-Conversion-Kit-E-Bike-Cycling-Hub-26/113440267463?hash=item1a69911cc7:g:pDgAAOSwNXpb-GbU

    Clunking hub

Just tightened the bottom bracket and cranks, plus it happens without peddling just that makes it worse. Looks like a teardown of the hub is needed. The rider is a bit worn but I don't think it's that :p

    Clunking hub

Forgot to mention the noise only happens with a rider on it, everything appears to spin freely otherwise

    Clunking hub

My partners bike has developed a clunk in the rear hub motor that happens once per revolution. It happens powered or unpowered so it's definitely mechanical. It's a deep clunk and can be felt through the frame, worsens with peddling, have ruled out spokes and brakes already, I'm guessing either...

    Crossfire-e dumped for Crossfuse!

I think it's the controller, when I missed my Vulcan with a Chinese controller the cutout is almost none existant. It has happened twice and both times was after a bump of some kind which suggests the battery BMS is sensitive to tiny sparks caused by jiggling connectors

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Wrong, throttle is 3 wire, this could be some programming lead or perhaps more likely an output for lights as suntour has that option. This kit works by tricking the pedal sensor signal so it will plug between the two connectors for that I'd imagine. I got tired with the limiter replaced the...

    Delta Batri Bike

They are handy if you are nearby, no use if going into a shopping centre out of earshot as I often do. I don't have a better way, I'm looking for one. For now a thick lock will have to do. I am considering insurance too, or maybe an explosive device under the saddle. Not sure which yet :D

Here they keep kicking it to set it off. North east kids don't give a ****

    Delta Batri Bike

Those alarms just draw more attention, mostly from idiot kids. Surely there's a better way? Sorry about the theft, it sucks when lowlives take what you work hard for!
