    Struggling to choose

It has, but my understanding is they were not previously using the distribution centre in Nottingham for Haibike.

    Newbie: Hybrid/1000w motor, 48V Lipo 10ah pack

The Specialized Crosstrail has 700c - 29" - wheels. The ebay kit is a 26" wheel one. Could be a problem.

    Muc-Off Chain Cleaner

Ford, You are not the cleaning Messiah, you are a very naughty boy for letting your drivetrain get so dirty in the first place.

Z4 Electric Bike Opinions & General Advice

If you like it, buy it, but my advice would be not to. Less than ideal bike for commuting. Woosh make something similar which I've tried. Their bike has the BPM motor, which is quiet and powerful. The rest of the bike is not so clever. In particular, the fold is a waste of time. The folded...

    Struggling to choose

An element of chicken and egg about it. Very few dealers stock ordinary Haibikes, so few are sold. If there is a person in charge of Haibike brand awareness in the UK, he/she seems to be concentrating on pushing Haibikes as electric bikes. I understand Haibike distribution arrangements are...

A short ride on an expensive bike

Thanks to forum member Croxden I had a ride on his Haibike XDuro All MTN Pro. It's a full suspension Bosch bike with the performance motor and top spec kit all round, including the newish Shimano 11 speed cassette and a dropper seat post. Croxden led the ride on his Delite along a shortened...

    Shamano STEPS,latest spec

A mate of mine in the trade found the Shimano Steps to be noisy and unrefined in comparison to other crank drives. Noise from crank bikes - if not all ebikes - seems to vary from the same model, so the one my mate tried may have been a poor. I've had a brief go on a Yamaha crank bike. Very...

    London Road Rage

The driver was fined for a public order offence. The problem with that is the cyclist was equally guilty of that offence so he has been fortunate. I agree pretty much with flecc on the pass. Closer then desirable but not worth making such a fuss about.

    London Road Rage

Another case of 'trial and punishment' by social media. The driver runs a small chain of cafes in south west London called Brew. Lots of abuse posted by cyclists on his twitter and facebook pages. There's an old pic doing the rounds which shows him standing on bathroom scales - presumably to...

    This years York Cycle rally

The Electric Transport Shop in York is the only ebike business in the trade stands list. Publicity officer Peter Eland is the publisher of one of the ebike magazines, although last I heard he was trying to get rid of it.

    Need a very comfortable bike!

Nice try, Bob. Actually I agree the OP may well be OK on a 26" wheel step through bike. What you say about saddle height is also correct. The height that feels right in the shop is usually found to be too low after a few rides.

    Shop in Birmingham wanted

Aye, and Annie now 'knows a man who can' sort her bike should the electrics go wrong. Every ebiker should have a d8veh.

Puncture-proof tyres for mixed on/off-road bike

The stuff about wider tyres rolling as well or better is counter intuitive, but appears to be true. Continental publish similar data. Wider tyres also equals fewer punctures. You weigh very little, which when spread over the wider contact area, should make punctures even less likely. Not the...

    Haibike sduro allmtn rx

The bike in John's second link is the same model as the OP wants and the one Martin has in stock. Saving appears to be about £700, assuming Martin is sticking out for list price. Must be worth considering. The retailer - alltricks - is French. I see they say they cannot ship the Trek/Bosch...

Using car brake cleaner on bike hydraulic brake calipers and discs?

Not sure, everyone says use isopropyl alcohol in whatever form you can get it. Maybe this is a case in which the dedicated packaged product is superior. My £5 tin will last me a lifetime. You are welcome to a few squirts if you want to bring the bike round.

    Haibike sduro allmtn rx

If Martin is right about his stock, it's either his way or no way - on that bike. Other brands of eMTB are available, and I would take some convincing that something like a Cube or KTM is not just as good as a Haibike.
