Cheaper because they are soft case packs with in most cases with no name or fake brand cells. We have seen a few come unstuck with these type of packs and lucky if they last 6- 8 months before they fail.

Sounds like the derailleur got bent , we have been riding deraileur eapc's & e -bikes for many years with no issues.

It's not just the third party insurance if you can find a broker to give a sensible figure. The bikes will need type approval /testing as well, fixed lights ,mirrors and full M/C helmet .

A simple over priced front hub motor eapc , bar that it has a gates belt drive any PAS system will 99.99% be the usual cadence sensor and likely a not so user friendly speed controller.

Balancing is only during the final 0.5v of the charge process. For a test bypassing the BMS is fine for a short time but in use one needs the LVC/HVC and other back up services it provides.

You wasted money on buying stuff you didn't need. Any sign of a LCD not staying on and one should have investigated the power supply between the LCD and battery, inc the battery first. Did you check any battery voltages at the discharge or try and check the ten cell group voltages ?

For 50a continuous you will want copper interconnectors on the series not nickel.

One may able able to recover a single cell for low power use like a torch but certainly not a bank of batteries in a larger battery pack, they will simply not handle a deent discharge or hold voltage very well. One has to do as has been said, open the battery and check the 10 cell groups any...
