Bosch Nyon Performance System / Sat Nav for 2015

Judging by the various threads, I don't think you want one just yet. Looks as if Bosch has released a test bed, they should be paying the public for the development work, not charging the public to do it.

    What is a pedelec

Some people don't get the pure joy of riding a lightweight bicycle in favourable conditions. I do, so to me an ebike will always be inferior in that sense - they all ride like pigs with the power off, although some are less disagreeable than others.

    Newbie from Cornwall

Accepting you have a problem is half the battle, and hopefully the training will be the other half. Nearly everyone wobbles to a greater or lesser extent when looking behind. Improved skills will lessen the wobble, but don't expect to eradicate it. Bar end mirrors, while not a replacement for...

    Police crackdown on illegal e-bikes

The trade members in this thread are trying to grind so many axes their views are barely worthy of consideration. There is, of course, nothing to stop them posting self-seeking claptrap. But equally there's nothing to stop me pointing out.what they are doing.

Speed limit on high end e-bikes

KTMs are particularly well suited to the tuning dongle. The importer is very much in their favour, and as from April 1 next year will be shipping a free dongle with every bicycle.

Looks like you are having a powerful motor. If you believe the 'having a dog and barking yourself' saying I doubt you will need granny.

    Biking Bollards....

I didn't like traffic calming measures. Then I bought an ebike.

    Ebike sellers near Hull/York

You are not far away from Oxygen in Goldthorpe, South Yorks. Their new mountain bike is a decent piece of kit, and you can have a proper test ride. http://www.oxygenbicycles.com/

2015 Lapierre Overvolt eMTB's hit the UK shores..

You say that, but when it comes to it, I think Schwalbe struggle to supply them. The supply position will improve, but I think there's no doubt the wheel size was introduced before tyres were widely available to the consumer.

2015 Lapierre Overvolt eMTB's hit the UK shores..

Mate of mine is struggling to get 27.5" studded, although I don't know how hard he's tried.

2015 Lapierre Overvolt eMTB's hit the UK shores..

The 27.5" wheel size might be popular, but try getting tyres. When it comes down to it, there isn't an awful lot of choice.

    Squeezed yet again

Can't argue with that. I prefer not to over-analyse or I wouldn't set out on the bike at all.

    Squeezed yet again

Not worth getting vexed about. If it were me, I might have moved to the right sooner after setting off in a bid to take control of the situation. But that may have annoyed the car driver. The car is safer in front of you than behind, so it turned out fine.

    Police crackdown on illegal e-bikes

There are no quotes to back up the original story about 'London Police' and 'Trading Standards Institute' which appears to originate from abroad. I suspect it's garbage, which is not to say it couldn't happen. Someone on a 1,000W contraption may well wipe out a pedestrian and then we may see...

Is this build throttle only? I know a green lane motorbike is throttle only, but only having a throttle on an ebike will be a real pain, particularly off road. Keeping a constant opening is much harder than on a motorbike, and you grip the bars differently leading to involuntary twists. The...

2014/2015 KTM Macina Lycan gps +

I reckon Eddie will put on at least one mudguard, although it's still remarkably dry in my area of the country. Some carrying capacity needed, if only for a pump, puncture repair kit and multi-tool. Nowhere for rider refreshment, although drink isn't so important at this time of year, and the...

    Leisure v Utility

About 90 per cent leisure. Pure utility journeys are rare, but I might do a utility job, typically food shopping, on the way back from a ride.

    Mirrors

Some bar ends don't allow access to the, er, end of the bar. The Ergon grips on the Rose are like that - you can't remove the bar end without also removing the grip, which means a bar end mirror won't fit. I've not come across a solution.
