    ebike kit advice needed

Ok, if you only have battery connected to controller, and it's taking out a 30a fuse, then you have a fault in the controller, or the wiring to it. It's worth double checking the wires from battery to controller, just in case. If that's all ok, you need a new controller.

Any straight replacements for a Bafang SWX 250W front hub motor ?

Knobbly tyre? What's the thinking behind that?

    ebike kit advice needed

It could be the in rush current blowing the fuse. I would try a 30a and see what happens.

Any straight replacements for a Bafang SWX 250W front hub motor ?

Pretty much any hub in a 26" wheel will fit. Sounds like a Bafang BPM would do the job, but there are other options. As for connectors, that depends on what you have already, and what controller/battery you want to use. Pictures would help.

Which kit is best for me?

Yes, but does that price include delivery to Greece? I was simply offering it as an alternative.

Which kit is best for me?

Have you looked at BMS battery? You should be able to get a kit with 10ah battery, delivered for around 500-600 euros, although you won't get a warranty. There's plenty of experience people on here that will be able to help you if you get trouble.

    Convert or ready built

On the subject of eBay, I picked up a Carerra Vengence t'other day, for £21. It needed new tyres and a chain. When I got there , the guy also had a Carerra kraken, in the same condition. I gave him £55 for both and he threw in two sets of new tyres that he had bought to fit before getting fed up...

Help fitting a torque arm to a Bafang 8 Fun motor

I ran a Q128 (probably slightly more torque than your swx, but not a lot) in my suntour forks for about 1000 miles. I did not have a torque arm, and as per d8veh's recommendation, tightened them as much as I dared. Since I carry it on the bike and, in the absence of a torque wrench, I went with...

S12S, cruise control switch and power

If the switch is anything like the one I have, take it apart and you can unsolder the common, giving two independent switches. You still cant control three things sperately though....

E bikes on the one show.....

Perhaps a little over optimistic, but that little segment would have been watched by about 5 million viewers. I would guess that a greater than average number would have been just the right demographic for a pedelec.

E bikes on the one show.....

... I missed the first bit, but I didn't hear anyone ask if it charges while you pedal it. Well done the Beeb! If I were a dealer, I'd have an extra person manning the phone tomorrow.

    Ride Scoozy Kickstarter Ebike

Nice advert for a bike with electricity! What a novel Idea. Does it charge up while you pedal?

    Common sense

I can flash my bike lights, but only do so occasionally as it freaks motorists out. Last time I did it the couple in the car behaved as though it was the first time they had seen electric light. I live in East Devon though. We'm only just got wheelie bins.

    new controller

Rob, I'm sure that pepe's are willing to help, but that picture makes it very hard. Could you find a way to get some light on the thing? Its A bit like the old postcard of the Ilse of Wight by night.

    Stating the obvious ! Tubes

Personally, I stick to schraders for all of my bikes, because then I can share my car tyre pump with my bike. The latest ones I bought are continentals from Halfords. They have a long valve, with a nut to keep it in place, will hapilly inflate a 2.5" tyre, and cost 2.49 . A bargain.
