Can anyone help with a D2 throttle problem?

Any PAS or motor hall would have to be tested at the controller connector if it is of the block type.

    broken cable help

The washers have tow uses if needed. On the inside as a spacer between the hub and inside face of the drop out, usually to prevent one causing friction/ rubbing against the other. Often the outer washer will have serrations on the face so the nut can't simply loosen via vibrations.

The jubilee clip is useless as a restraint against torque force, it will at some stage fail. 100% reverse the main shaped axle fitting and use it by aligning the fixing hole and bolt it direct. You will still need to use the old original one on the other side. Once fitted there is no need to...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

We encroached on the SMR's previously up the thread, the tech is still at an early stage with R&R ongoing and is likely 10 years away for a working model to be up and running.

One assumes tesla cells are reclaimed cells ? One would need more specs for the tesla's.

Using UK 13amp plug appliance wire to connect controller to battery?

Yes silicone covered multi stranded, it is more flexible for ebike use, twin and earth house wire or white goods flex is not really appropriate as in time the outer sheath may crack. Solid core is highly likely to break with bending and movement also not so good for soldering as there are no...

    broken cable help

Please can we not confuse matters by describing torque arms as torque washers. If the erider ones are too long grind a bit off the end so they fit, the generic curved bike ones aren't as good as they have a weak point which is the bolted join. A one piece TA is always stronger and better then a...

    New folding project

With C1 I would have tried value 0 & 1 as well, but that said I had a 12 pole disc that I couldn't get to work properly so simply swapped it out for a 10 pole and adjust C1 to 1 and never had an issue again. I now use 10 pole discs all the time now as 12 poles just don't always play ball. Glad...

    broken cable help

In #111 the torque arm isn't dead flat on the drop out /stay, you have the anti rotation washer (ARW) in between, this needs to be removed. Don't forget some one had messed with the bike big time before you got it, so looks like someone omitted fitting the torque arms and may have fitted the...

    broken cable help

I would try and use the erider one piece torque arms, you already had one that was correct. The erider ones look ok to me from the pic, they need to sit direct on the drop out and then secure with a bolt. The chain looks to be a single speed cycle chain, count the links as they come in various...

Using UK 13amp plug appliance wire to connect controller to battery?

I would use silicone awg for the flexibility and no cracking of the outer sheath, but 10awg is a bit strong. 14awg is plenty for up to 30/32a.

Can you probe the PAS sensor or motor halls to see what voltage they show up ?

Can anyone help with a D2 throttle problem?

It may well be then that a std 5v halled throttle simply doesn't work as the working V's are too high. It is possible that fido use a different low voltage line rail in which case if the 2.7v hall works then they are making there bike incompatible with generically available items. Keep the...

    broken cable help

One needs to go back to #15 & #18 and fit those style torque arms on each side including the fixing bolt in to the tapped hole, the tabbed torque washers I in the main just a location/holding washer ( alfine geared hubs use them for locating and holding the axle in the correct position). Once...

    Lightweight rear hub kit

Buy a decent spoke wrench/key, I prefer to use spokey single size type to suit the nipple size I'm using but there are also 6 way spoke keys. A couple of wheel lacing utube vids I quite like...

    Lightweight rear hub kit

If you have no truing stand or don't make one, true the wheel up in the drop outs. Use a cable tie around the stay and cut the tail end to use as a marker against the rim wall on one side. For spokes one should be able to use one length for both side even though the drive side will be a mm or...

10 poles is more then enough, if you fitted a 12 pole one I doubt you would tell much difference on the motor pick up.

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

I'm not too bothered as I have no mortgage and generally am a lower fuel user. There will be a lot of folks though who will be paying twice or three times maybe more then me, I don't think I have had the heating come on for the last 5 or 6 days at least as the temps have been ok esp now in the...

Can anyone help with a D2 throttle problem?

Generic ebike stuff all use 5v for the hall sensors, if one is only seeing 2.75v from the controller then suspect the controller 5v output voltage regulator is faulty. Can other fido owners confirm low voltage out put should be 5v ?
