A trailer for ebike or non ebike towing.

Did a £100 shop today at the supermarket with the Cotic and trailer, two panniers full and the Black box choker full with groceries. A nice bright crisp morning ride out and back, the rush hour traffic in the most gave me plenty of space and were nicely patient. In the most part I was quicker...

    Controls for roadbike drop bars

For cable levers a simple fit should be HWBS fitted inline. Trying to adapt std cutoff brakes for drops isn't practice or possible, the other obvious is to use the sensor/magnet combo as used for hdb's where the magnet is simply moved away form the sensor.

    Hub Motor and Wheel Size/Diameter

It is very simple Andy after all that has been said if you really knew your stuff, the geared hubs we use can only have the RPM changed via voltage despite your so called electronic expertise. You state you are controlling motor rpm by throttle , this is not so. All you are doing is controlling...

    New folding project

Before doing anything, does PAS operate if you back pedal ? If so then one has to flip the magnet disc as the magnets have N or S pole. C 1 value should be 02 if a 12 pole disc.

    New folding project

LCD4 has P & C parameters to change in the settings, I suspect the C1 value is incorrect for the PAS sensor fitted. #1. Turn on the LCD and press the up & down pads at the same time within for 5 secs within 5 secs of turning on, the display will enter basic settings and flash , wheel spd...

    Hub Motor and Wheel Size/Diameter

Lets go back to the OP's #1. The hub for the 29er wheel lets say it is wound for 260rpm, in a 29" wheel that would give it a NLS speed of approx. 22.4mph or a OTR speed of approx.18.1 mph, If the same hub is used in a 20" wheel the rpm stays the same but the NLS speed will change and will be...

    Hub Motor and Wheel Size/Diameter

Sorry but you are totally wrong Andy and until you ever own an ebike you will never find out, all you are doing is trolling rubbish.. The manufactures wind the motors for a certain rpm, this is set and can't be changed one can't increase or decrease the copper winding strands in a motor by...

    Lightweight rear hub kit

Ok thanks Tony, for pointing that out. In that case then yes, Woosh are or were the only sellers I know of who sold the 85sx as a rear motor/kit.

    Hub Motor and Wheel Size/Diameter

The forum isn't about poo pooing or putting people off on hear say , for diy builds it is about practical advice and giving good advice to achieve the main aim of a working bike. I'm probably have an above competency of some on here, one only has to look at my Cotic Road Rat build thread to see...

    Hub Motor and Wheel Size/Diameter

You have never yet converted a bike so really have no idea, all you do is spout rubbish on hear say. Folks mess up because they are not practically minded, buy the wrong stuff and then try to marry stuff up that is incompatible. I have not yet had any issue marrying up hub motors and KT they are...

    Hub Motor and Wheel Size/Diameter

Yes displays can set the wheel size but it can't change the motor rpm which you are failing to take in to account, one can change the wheel size as much as you like to no avail. All it does is trick the motor to run faster on the road but is quite different to real world motor rpm.

    Lightweight rear hub kit

The Woosh listing must be wrong for the 85sx as they list it as 100mm but then say it is a rear motor which it isn't. Topbikekit sold out of the 85sx quite a while ago the only lightweight sub 2kg hub is the G370 at 1.7kg for 100mm drop outs, the 75sx is available but is ultra light at 1.4kg ...

    Lightweight rear hub kit

With the lighter weight motors don't expect them to have the grunt of the larger heavier motors, though tbh my one feels good. It has carried my 84kg + 30kg of cat litter in the panniers and on the rack, also it has towed my trailer and 40kg of hand tool etc with no problems. The acceleration...

    Lightweight rear hub kit

Buying form China is the option and source for most hubs when one wants a more bespoke motor, the KT component stuff is quite easy to put together as all is compatible. All one has to do is decide on waterproof or block connector style and how they wish a controller to be integrated. Once one...

    Hub Motor and Wheel Size/Diameter

The hub for 29er wheel won't be suitable for a 20" wheel as the rpm will be too slow. Is the motor rpm/winding known ? One needs a hub wound to suit a 20" wheel so typically needs to be about 328rpm which would allow it to spin at approx. 19.5mph no load speed or approx. 15.5mph on the road...

    Spokes

Remove the nipple and measure from the end of the thread to the inside of the J, measure the dia they will be 2.2mm 13g or 2mm 14g though it is highly likely they will be the 13g. The S could be the Sapim mark ? Use Spokesfromryan, service has always been good from my experience.
