    HESC issues

The HESC system uses a different waterproof motor connector then other systems, generic China ones all tend to use the Julet 9 pin connector. For bike with all moulded connectors then the easiest option is if poss buy another motor or extension cable to make a testing cable, chop it in half and...

    HESC issues

White is common to be used as the speed wire colour. Black & Red are the Gnd & 5v, Blue,Green & Yellow are the motor halls so the ninth colour is the speed hall. The three thick colours are motor phase. The system needs power so test from the controller motor connector, if the connector is a...

    HESC issues

Likely without a speed reading the shut down may be due to either a failed hall sensor, speed magnet in the hub has come unstuck or broken wire. One can test the Hall with a meter via the motor wiring. Find the thin Black hall wire to the motor and place your probes on that one and the speed...

    Help with compatible LCD/ LED

Looks like it needs a specially programmed lcd to unlock the features a bit like the cyclotricity kits, it;s for sur not a KT model. Tbh most you will need to ditch the it and buy 25/30a KT controller and an lcd3. That controller if it worked with another lcd would only work in 250w/15a...

Yosepower 350w 48v keeps cutting out - maybe related to throttle.

Although some ebike batteries may use the same type of cell a car uses and think that is good, it has to be remembered that a bike battery only have 4 or 5 cells in a parallel string where as a car will have approx. 30 or 40 cells or even more in parallel and approx. 100 of these cell groups...

Yosepower 350w 48v keeps cutting out - maybe related to throttle.

Though Sam cells are used like a lot of branded and non branded ones they all make different varying amperage cells, because of the pricing structure the cells will be lesser amperage ones of approx. 5.2a rating. Over time even a short space of 18months use they will suffer loss of capacity more...

Looking to buy an extra battery for my e bike

Can't say I have seen that design, it's not a generic type that I have seen.

Yosepower 350w 48v keeps cutting out - maybe related to throttle.

If the display goes off then it's a battery contact issue, if the screen stays on then the cells are aging and the cutting out is bad/severe voltage collapse. The latter is a sign of the cells past their best, if the battery is some 50/60% depleted or more then the likely hood of LVC coming in...

Review Small, light, reliable, low resistance FRONT/REAR hub

The G370 runs perfectly unpowered so has very very low drag or I should say treacle resistance effect which is not noticeable at all, most larger hubs with 4 or 5:1 gearing have this so called treacle resistance due to the heavy central mass of the hub weight. The G370 is very small and light...

    1000w hub motor

    5. Test the mosfets low and high side for failure with your meter set to ohms/resistance mode 20 or 200ohms. Disconnect the battery and if you wish discharge the in rush capacitor by shorting the controller supply wires together, don't worry about the spark as no damage will occur. Measure the...

The bike in it's finished state panniers are now fixed and staying on as the faff is too much to keep removing them, they are handy for keeping the locks in. Did another grocery run today and a honey sales run so it's getting used, I even got the tyres a bit dirty as I also visited one of my...

    Hello

The water may be the issue for the E42 error as this is the code for motor hall failure. When you get back post again on this thread and we can tell you how to test the motor halls, if indeed one or more has failed the hub will need opening to carry out repairs.

Most likely a coaster brake for motored hub. How do you know the motor wheel is blown ? More likely that damage will occur to the controller then the hub motor. Have you or has the controller been tested ?

    Stolen Mirrorstone Electric bike

What a bugger, sadly crime is very low key with plod and we certainly don't have enough nowadays to feel very safe in our own homes. Likely it will be stripped or may surface whole on one of the online market places.

72volt 3000w hub will work with 52v battery?

How do you work out 72v, some of hat you say doesn't make sense. 52v is 14s so max charge is 58.8v. The cut out voltage is what ever the BMS is set up which will be higher then the controller cut off, typically one would look at about 45v for min cut off value which is 3.21v per cell group.

Roadrat Alfine 8 with G370 hub build.

The beauty of the Cotic frame at first looks is not only the quality paint job but the immaculate clean tubes joints with no ugly welding in site, unlike a lot of bikes where one doesn't need to look hard to see them. The wheel base is approx.75mm shorter then my other bikes and I was a little...
