    MET police at it again...

Confiscated, good job too. More of the countries forces need to crack down on these twist and go 1kw bikes.

    MET police at it again...

The bike handling with the Genny on the back must have been awful with the CofG very ungainly. I wonder if it was just being purely transported or the rider trying to charge the batteries on the go ? The fact a hefty chain secures it to the bike makes one wonder, it is likely the Genny caught...

TSDZ2 problem (display switches off when I start pedalling)

A dry joint can give a false contact = a false voltage supply, something you are experiencing. The shut down could be this despite the battery having good voltage, the display doesn't read the voltage correctly so shuts down.

TSDZ2 problem (display switches off when I start pedalling)

When the display turns off/shuts down typically it is because power/voltage has been cut. When the display turned off did you go over any bumps, pot holes or rough terrain ?

TSDZ2 problem (display switches off when I start pedalling)

If it isn't the display at fault then one has to suspect a glitch with the controller.

TSDZ2 problem (display switches off when I start pedalling)

I believe yes it can be done, it must have been on one of the huge tsdz threads on ES where I have seen it.

TSDZ2 problem (display switches off when I start pedalling)

Moisture can cause issues if it enters the display not just mid drive systems but any system, it can cause shorting on the pcb.

    moped help

I'v not worked on one so tbh haven't a clue, if it needs to be undone try using some heat on it from heat gun or butane torch. I suspect there is a proper tool for it which needs some leverage to turn it.

What motor was this used with and the controller current ?

Ebay battery lastest 7 Months £210 down the drain!!

I didn't scan down the page far enough. 20a continuous discharge then it says 25a BMS if so then it is 25a continuous, the 60a peak doesn't sound right and seems far too much for the cells. The cells look like 8a with 3c rating a little hard to believe. Still it appears they weren't capable...

Anyone Know What This Is Called?

Once any wiring is exposed check the 5v line is reading 5v. Any peripheral part like PAS/throttle one can test with a meter simply using the 5v and gnd wire or via the thin motor hall wires if it is sensored. If any connector is a block type one can push the probes up the back of the wire.

Ebay battery lastest 7 Months £210 down the drain!!

Sadly the devil is in the detail of which there are scant few to see. The price for a start shouts unbranded very cheap china cells, the <150ohms impedance rating also indicates pretty much sub standard cells used. Sounds like the BMS or the balancing isn't working and it is way out of balance...

    Carrera Crosscity Wiring Harness

The brakes should be a generic two wires (reed) or three wires (hall) , then one should be able to use any on the market wired brakes. All one has to do is make sure the wiring order is correct. The reed is simple if they don't work simply reverse the two wires with hall one has to identify the...

Anyone Know What This Is Called?

Yes nothing to do with a dimming display, as we have deducted it is a power outage/supply issue which includes shorting between the pcb pads. Over the years these type of issues have occurred and all tend to lead to moisture affecting the display.

    Hub Gears

There are two different tensioners for nexus/alfine most parts are interchangeable, one a simple short one (single pivot) and a second longer derailleur type (double pivot) if using double chainrings.

I was thinking more in the lines of a vehicle alarm, of course we are talking e scootor and the controller supplies all the wiring and power from it's pcb.

    moped help

I can't be 100% sure but the likely is possible. I forgot the controller I expect this steps down the voltage to the alarm and is where the power may also come from. The Red & Black also the supply wires to the siren, the Orange likely the key switch.

    moped help

The alarm must use a stepdown converter as one assumes the alarm is 12/24v, likely a relay/control box might also be used and is activated by a key (not used). One also assumes the key is in the permanent on position. Either replace the key switch with a new one to turn the alarm on/off...
