    Brexit, for once some facts.

Great comment, and very nicely written, but it's all in vain. The six people reading this aren't going to change anything.

They don't care. Anything will be better than more of the same. Hopefully, soon we'll have heros like Tommy Robinson in parliament. That's if there isn't a dictator coup first.

    First sensible thing you've written.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You're certainly living up to your name. What's the matter, still missing your mate Robdon? I wonder what happened to her? You know, you can't trust these dirty newspaper reporters, and I expect that also applies to guys that use dirty tactics on internet forums too. You just can't trust them!

It must be great to be so righteous. Unfortunately, it's not going to help you.

further investigation of battery cutting out before set LVC

I don’t think you can hold the supplier responsible after 1700 miles. There are too many factors that affect the battery life. Use Ohm's law to calculate the load R =V/I =52/10 = about 5 ohms. Power = V x I = 50W, so it needs a way to dissipate that much heat. A fan will help. I'm lucky, I...

    350W yose engine cuts

Follow the wire from the motor to the controller. Check every conne tion very carefully.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Here's a very interesting interview with Rod Liddle, where he comments on Brexit, media bias and modern politics. lots of points for discussion.

further investigation of battery cutting out before set LVC

There's always a possibility of non-genuine 30Q cells, otherwise, it's just worn out. You'd need to put it under a load test to confirm that, which means running it at about 10 amps while the case is open so that you can measure actual cell voltages, especially at the point of cut-off. It's...

    Throttle vs potentiometer question

Switch on or connect power is the same thing.

    350W yose engine cuts

It sounds like a weak phase wire connection to me.

    350W yose engine cuts

Is your controller set to speed control, where the setting parameter P3 is set to 0 instead of 1? If it is, you'll get cut-offs whenever you go over the designated speeds on the lower control panel levels.

Bosch CX - is it possible to reduce pedeling resistance with aftermarket mods

The answer is no. It's the basic concept of the motor that causes the drag, where it has the drive sprocket not turned directly by the pedals.

When they put a B in the name, it means Bosch, which seems to be loads better than the Impulse motor.

Still pining for your fake alta ego! You can con some of the stupid people on this forum, but not the working class guys. We're too clever for you.

    Throttle vs potentiometer question

Switch on the controller, then disconnect and reconnect the throttle to see what happens. If it works afterwards, then the controller needs 0V to initialise. Next, with the controller switched on, measure the voltage between the red and black wires on the pot to confirm that it's 5v. Finally...

    Bike Security threats!

Nearly every type of lock can be defeated by some special tool or other. It's nothing to worry about unless you leave your bike in the same spot regularly so that a thief can predict its presence and know what security you have. Apart from that, all you need is a lock that can defeat the tools...

    Help! Replacement electronic controller required

OK. That's understandable and makes sense. Controllers are pretty reliable. I think that I've only ever seen five faults in controllers in many years of testing and fixing electric bikes. fault 1. Battery connected the wrong way round. It often blows the shunt and main capacitor/s, and...

    LCD S866 + Brainpower controller

I have no idea what you've done with your controller, how you're testing it, or your level of understanding. What I can tell you is that I've fitted three Brainpower controllers to bikes and everyone of them gave a difference when you went up and down the 5 levels on the LCD. What's more, I...
