Unlocked 250W to 500W, not much difference

You can't use just any KT LCD on those kits as they use a custom mode which is programmed only into their software.

    Help

41.8v is fully charged and should be as near balanced as one can get, though you shouldn't leave it on the charge all the time. One should use it then only charge if the voltage is below 36v and raise it a couple of volts only, then fully charge a few hours before the next ride. May be the...

Q128C hub motor part number explanation

I was trying out new P1 settings for my AKM128c as 212 no longer worked and my cut speed has reached over 20mph, I have been running it at 48v & 36v with dual KT 25a . A couple of weeks ago using a 36v battery I had to use P1 of 168 to see a lcd 25km/h cut out but didn't have my GPS to back...

    Rechargeable Batteries

A couple of years ago I bumped in to a guy on the Downs link with a folding bike and he was charging off an array of solar panels laid out on the ground and also attached to his bike. It all looked a faff and he had made up a heath storage framework for the panels, the wiring and gizmos for the...

Unlocked 250W to 500W, not much difference

What is the controller rating for the 250/500 ? Ideally for the 500w a D/D hub you would need 25/30a and good a good battery to see much change. Most 250w geared hubs can produce about 400 - 700w if the controller and battery can deliver the current for short periods of use, higher current or...

    Help! Haibike fatsix Bosch nylon

That's the problem with Bosch and the likes where you can't carry out any electronics work, you are 100% tied to a dealer so if you haven't a local one where the bike is purchased from you have to travel to one which for some may be a few hours minimum journey. The worse bit is some won't even...

    Freego manual

If yours is the same as in the links, then the Yellow 3 pin Julet makes it simple plug and play. The Julet pin out sequence follows a set standard .

Fun while it lasted! Any troubleshooting advice?

If you connectors are Julet then you find it difficult to access the wiring so you will have to open the controller to probe off the pcb contacts, as it will all be live be very careful of shorting and make very sure the contacts you need to probe.

Standard KT Sm (non waterproof ) connectors then. Yes the 9 fet are 22/25a but you can reduce the current, controller are a bit larger.

    Help! Budget conversion, Drill batteries?

Yes, the controller will be 63v rated , 18v is 5s so x 3 is a 15s battery in series limit your charge to 4.15 or 4.1v per cell group so not pushing the main capacitor to the limit.

Fun while it lasted! Any troubleshooting advice?

Test the motor halls with a meter though depends on the controller wire connectors. Turn the bike on, use 20v dc om the meter. 1. Probe + & - thin hall wires for 5v. 2. Next test -/gnd Black wire with Black probe & Red probe against the three hall wires, slowly turn the wheel AC/W you should...

    Throttle help

Check the motor wiring/ motor connector and that it is fully pushed together, the only other thing I can think of is a hall issue. Do you have any power /cut out issues ?

    Yosepower hub kits.

I never let WD40 or similar products anywhere near my hubs or electronics, whether it causes electrickery issues I don't know. To open the hub you need to remove the wheel on the brake side there should be a axle nut up against the hub behind the nut should be a bearing seal. On the other side...

    Kalkhoff initially dissapointing; advice please.

Easiest bike usually to repair are generic China controller kits with PAS cadence sensing even if you can't buy the same controller you can buy alternatives available and get the bike running for a cost of £60 - £100. Companies like Woosh, Wisper, Oxygen, Juicy etc, etc who are ebike designer...

    Freego manual

Most manuals are basic, how to set the bike up, turn the bike on and how the display functions etc, most won't tell you how repair or fault find problems. The latter part most will expect you to return the bike to a dealer to make electronic repairs, mechanically ebikes are no different to push...

    Yosepower hub kits.

Sounds like the clutch/planetary gears are slipping. Certainly not a grinding noise. First though double check any phase wire connection and motor connector is fully home. What voltage/amps are you running with ?
