    Cyclotricity problem

Before deciding if a battery is very saggy or past it's best, one would try and prove the point by rigging up a temporary voltage source to see what does happen to the voltage in use or in a test with wheel off the ground.

    Puncture repair kits

I don't buy kits but buy separate glue, cut to size patch material and any bit of sandpaper to prep the tube area. Instead of buying a larger adhevise tube buy a couple of small ones or a 5 pack. For patch's Weldtite cut to size 6" x 4" repair sheet. Carry two small tubes in case one goes off...

    Controller or battery issue

Powering off is a battery connection issue if it occurs without assistance, with assistance it is usually battery or controller at fault. If the fault occurred straight away with PAS I would suspect controller as yours is the latter whilst In use I would presume battery. Charge the battery and...

Help! Whyte Glencoe and CD motor

Peter or Woosh will answer better but the issue is with the tsdz design and the gap/space between the through axle and the motor casing of only about 6 or 7mm clearance. Your BB design isn't unlike that of a CF BB where it is not like that of a unhindered normal BB. Place a flat rule across...

Apparent lack of power to hub motor

Regarding the wheel becoming tighter when Stu does the axle nut up more it could be pad/rotor alignment, in which case after tightening axle nuts undo the brake two calliper bolt fixings to the fork a turn or two. Apply the brake lever and at the same time re tighten the two bolts release the...

Apparent lack of power to hub motor

Stu's should eventually find the issue with forum help, the forum has already helped him with the power/motor hub issue once he had under stood and taken the advice given. The advice to some seems trivial but experience tells us different especially with the julet connectors a couple of mm can...

    Cyclotricity problem

There is a remote possibilty the battery voltage is out of balance and needs balancing, if it charges ok we can rule out a very low cell group voltage. Ideally as mentioned above some meter readings after charging will be a start to see where the issue might lie. Ideally we would like to see...

    Cyclotricity problem

Reason why I was probing for questions and some details. With any power cut out the battery is the first item to look at, ideally we need some battery values. An older battery not used or cared for will degrade and have a short life, the saying goes use them or lose them. Ignore little led...

    New here looking for advise

For PAS you have connected Gnd & Sig incorrectly together. P1 setting is about setting the correct or near value for the internal motor gear ratio so that the near correct odo speed is about right. P2 affects the odo on the road reading It will be value 1 or 6, it is dependent on internal...

Apparent lack of power to hub motor

Yes can see the possible problem if Stu used the 12mm rotor bolts but using them wouldn't affect how the motor wheel spins by tightening up the axle nuts too tight, The rotor bolt issue would show up beforehand .

    Cyclotricity problem

A link to the bike ? Did you select low gear as not to stall the motor ? Did you select a higher assistance level for more power ? How far had you ridden before attempting the hill climb ?

Mechanical componentswill be run of the mill components available from any bike shop/store retailer or online. The electrical components will be like wise but pics of any items will be needed to match them up, the main item that you are unlikely to get a direct replacement for will be the...

Looking for 52v battery any suggestions ?

You won't get a cheap one with at least 45a continuous, not much change out of £600 I reckon. With power output and higher voltage comes a cost. Contact Jimmy at ebikebatteries.co.uk Or this guy on ebay...

    Rent an E-Bike for £40 a month

On the home page there is a drop down box ' e bikes' and there is a tick box to select a 250w option on some of the bikes, though there are a lot of illegal options to order. As usual it will be down to the rider if they are caught for riding an illegal bike. An initial deposit is required how...

Help! Whyte Glencoe and CD motor

The BB might still be an issue with the TSDZ due to the cavity carrying the cables to the rear also the thick surface weld, the TSDZ has less clearance between motor body and frame then the Bafang BBS.

Apparent lack of power to hub motor

Is there a flat washer fitted to the axle before the AR tabbed washer ? On the disc side there is an inboard axle retaining nut that also acts to secure the bearing clear rubber seal and the seal washer in place, this might be pinched up to tight ( it may need just a 1/4 or 1/2 turn AC/W ) and...
