    Help! opening a [B]BIONX RIDE + battery G2 R420 Wh / 48 V

Does the top section slide at all ? If it's not opening after removing any screws then likely the case upper and lower sections may use interlocking snap clips along the joint as well, Bosch and others use these. A non metallic thin object needs to be inserted through the case joint to see if...

    Nice to meet you

The cheap ebay kits like Voilamart are cheap for a reason, they use basic speed control with either single or three speed systems . The 250w hubs lack torque and are weedy, the larger D/D hubs (500w/1kw) are pretty lack lustre and are really only suitable for very flat terrain. They lack range...

Anyone know the exact dia seat post size for oxygen s cross mk11 mtb

There are many tube sizes 27.2 , 28.6 & 31.8 are the common ones. Remove the seat post the size should be inscribed or simply measure it. It's not exactly rocket science to measure or look for the size.

Ezee Torq, front hub motor knocking/failed

Your old torq hub has the six face plate screws so it might be easy to separate the hub to access the main planetary gears and clutch, on the op side there might be a axle retaining nut. Often there is no need to physically separate the motor windings/magnet field from the hub casing. The fact...

    Hello World

I use a USB/SD card device on my PC and simply load the pic/frame by selecting it or download the card pics to my Pictures file first and then use the 'Attach files' feature on the bottom lhs of the reply box.

Would you pay £30 to save 1kg?

My G370 arrived this afternoon, weighed it and exactly 1.6kg. The Axle isn't like most hubs it is 9mm dia threaded with only the very inner shoulder having a 10mm x 12mm sizing before the thread starts. The motor cable is LHS and exits the axle inboard of the D/O's.

    Conversion kits and the law

The 250w /350w rating take no notice of, what is important is the current they supply. Most 250w controllers are about 7a nominal , 15a max. All controllers no matter what the so called 'w' rating is vary. 17 or 20a is acceptable for a 250w hub and will give you more power/torque. My new...

Battery - connection simple question ...if you know the answer

The board you show is part of a closed system and involves hand shaking protocols, so changing the BMS for a generic China one will not likely work with controller/motor combo & display. Five wire battery connections usually means bad news. C = could be charge. D = could be discharge. R =...

    Conversion kits and the law

All 36v controllers can handle 42v, as 36v is the nominal battery voltage. The min usable voltage for a36v battery is about 32v and the max is 42v. The Ah is the capacity and simply as you have said is about the range the higher the Ah the more range. Sometimes batteries are quoted in Wh terms...

    Conversion kits and the law

24v is 7 cells or cell groups in series or 7s , 24v will charge to 29.4v maximum. With lithium each cell is 4.2v maximum charge 7 x 4.2v = 29.4v. 36v is 10 cells or cell groups in series or 10s, 36v will charge to 42v maximium. 10 x 4.2v = 42v max charge. 12s is an in between voltage and not...

    Conversion kits and the law

A 24v /7s bike will need a new 36v/10s controller as you are asking for 50% more power, I don't know what the capacitors are rated at but 50v would be the minimum for 36v. My 24v Swizzbee can handle 8s/ 33.6v. On a side note any 36v bike can run at 12s if you limit the voltage to 12s x 4.15...

    Conversion kits and the law

Using a 48v battery is like an instant naughty mode and you can be rding at 25mph with out too much effort not only does the speed increase 33% so does torque which can give great acceleration or a good shove in the back up hills.

    Front hub motor damaged wires

When replacing the motor cable don't use grease use some spread from the fridge as lube, it makes for a great frictionless super slippy lube.

Tbh as long as your not going overly fast on assisted power or kill/injure someone no one will likely bother. The guy in London in Feb was cleared of death by dangerous driving on his 1kw ebike come moped over the speed limit.

    Inner tubes

I use Vavert tubes on ebay for my 700c and I don't have many issues barring the odd thorn for the front, tyre choice might be more important though I use CX tyres which provide less puncture resistance for my offroad riding. For my rear hub bikes I use a Gaadi for ease of tube removal without...

Can anyone point me in the direction unlock a oxygen s cross mk11 mtb

The Oxydrive kit used the same components a few years ago and 24.5 mph was possible in the highest assist mode #18, it had three power/current levels and each level had six speed levels. If you use the search feature you might fins an older thread with the derestriction info, though things...
