good bike to convert with disc brakes under £400?

It might look silly with a 24" wheel on the back. With the bigger tyre the difference in diameter is minimal it won't look too funky and the bike is a disk brake bike. A rim brake bike doesn't work with smaller or larger wheels. You can (could?) actually buy bikes that are set up like this as...

I now have a wonderful torque simulation controller making my GSM motor a pure dream to ride within the legal assistance limits. For a couple of weeks however I was riding unrestricted and reaching 45 km/h on the flat with ease (often out accelerating cars). Going that fast on a bicycle is not...

Common sense isn't equally distributed. - I can't ride a bike with electric assistance to the shops then back again with a 30 kg trailer full of food? Pray tell me why. - I can't ride my bike to the station at the hour of my choice? No I have to hang about at the bus station and go when they...

“obviously, Australia, with our long-standing ties and our close relationship, will be one of the first countries we will be looking to” Got more criminal elements you want rid of then?

good bike to convert with disc brakes under £400?

My hub motor might be going on this: http://www.decathlon.fr/vtt-rockrider-520-noir-id_8350582.html The rear wheel will be 26" and the front 27.5" but the rear tyre will be 2.15 and the front 2.0 I like the 340 rockrider but I don't want to muck about upgrading components like the front brake.

    The new best headlight

Looking at Eddie's photo the beam is round so it lights up the trees. I don't want to blind drivers and almost all of my night riding is on a busy main road. I don't mind paying 60€ for a light with the correct beam shape. And it is road legal with all the correct markings. My bike has already...

    The new best headlight

This is what I have at the moment, the photo is from b+m but I confirm that it is true to real life use*. Each cone is separated by 5 meters (10 cones in picture). This is what 40 lux looks like in the pitch black. It is stronger than street lighting in town. The one I am ordering this week is...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Tried the Big Bens on loose gravel yesterday, does that mean I'm an off roader too now? :D Not convinced by the grip. Great on sand though.

Imagine the picture: drunk man over 60 on pedelec in safety jacket and helmet chuckling to himself as he weaves his way 38 km homewards... not pretty... The thing about riding a bike home from San Sebastian is that by the time I am off the cycle paths and on the open road I am half sober...

pedelecs don't have a "speed limit", mopeds do. Pedelecs have an assistance limit. Mopeds (s-pedelecs) have an assistance limit and a speed limit. About 75% of French mopeds are tuned and I often follow them at 75 km/h and slightly over (theoretical top speed of a heavy 50cc two stroke)...

My sister has been living in Melbourne for about 20 years. My Aussie news comes straight from the source, I am not overly impressed, no. Brexit, for once some facts.

Just a thought. Australia is on the sharp end of running offshore camps for immigrants maybe they could help you there? I mean France could ship off all the people in Calais to the Channel Islands and the Aussies would come over and counsel on barbed wire, torture and depravity and things like...
