We say here "I live in the northern part of the Basque Country", Spain starts near Burgos and France on the other side of the Adour... :D I ride often in hegoalde (the south) where the Basque Government hasn't done away with Spanish helmet law :(

If you go to Amsterdam you will see that all the bikes have frame locks. It is very practical and I use it even when the bike is in sight and I have just popped into a shop for some bread or whatever. I have a pluggable chain and attach the bike to something solid whenever it is out of sight...

They only need a fiber optic internet connection and some office space. I would suggest Paris, reasonable quality food at lunch time, a quick train ride back home... :rolleyes:

Thanks. When the weather cools down a bit I will wear my helmet less, I tend to wear a thick wool felt dockers cap during the cooler season. Except on the open road on the other side of the frontier where there is a 200€ fine for not wearing a helmet... Like I have said many times on this...
