    Spell Checker

Are you using Chrome perchance? I have noticed that recently UK English needed to be added as a spell checking language. I have Chrome set up to check UK English and not US English. You need to go into advanced settings to add spell checking languages.

Light weight folding bike for a lady

Yes it is another £600+ but your pedelec is a Dahon Vitesse which you are already comfortable with and like. The extra weight will change how it feels but you won't be in completely new territory when it comes to folding etc. If it was mine I would put this on it http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit...

    Number Two

Thinking about a small 8 Ah pack for every day use. And as a range extender for getting home when the main pack runs out.

Light weight folding bike for a lady

You have a lovely folder already, my vote is a kit. You don't need a huge battery to do your commute. 12.5 kg + 2.5 kg motor = 15 kg because you can take the battery off before lifting it into the car.

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

My vote is brakes binding too. If it was the motor you might have a noise as well. Rear wheel true? All spokes nice and tight?

Bafang Programming Lead for BBS01, BBS02 and BBSHD

Most phones have a USB port, it is amazing that in 2016 there is no BBS app... Just saying.

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

That isn't supposed to happen, if you really have drag in the motor something is wrong. You should feel the extra weight, that is normal.

    Brexit speed question.

Having tried the poor mans s-pedelec for a couple of weeks (unrestricted GSM) I am happy to be back on a bicycle once again. Getting between cities at 45 km/h is fine but when I get to destination I want something a little more relaxed. Maybe I could have a bike trailer with a pedelec on it? In...

    Stolen batteries

I agree with Alan. You can pay by solidarity if you wish but someone is claiming and taking part of the money you pay in - after the company takes its huge profit of course. 5 years is too old, they will say that they have been amortized and I would tend to agree with them on that. I am...

    IP for Bikes?

Best ask Cannondale. If you leave it as is, add the kit and then sell it as long as you don't use Cannondale in your marketing pitch you are fine. You can't sell it as a Cannondale e-bike I am trying to say. "e-bikes by tez", "another quality e-bike conversion by tez" etc. is the way to go. Of...

Define cheap? I paid 97€ for mine because I wanted a big enough screen, the smaller ones are 67€. http://www.oruxmaps.com/ complicated to learn but very powerful and uses openstreetmaps cycle maps which are great where I live YMMV. What cycle computer? If it is Bluetooth oruxmaps may be...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There will be EU factory inspectors (you'll have to pay for them) ensuring that the majority of the parts used in UK manufactured goods are also manufactured in the UK to have tariff free access. Any boxes with Chinese writing on in the tip behind the factory and you are nicked! :D

    Brexit, for once some facts.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Travel_Area I thought I had already posted this? Anyway Ireland is an island and doing all the border checks for the UK at its ports and airports. Good way of smuggling goods to and fro...

    Theresa May,the Dictator...

Like her role model she is playing a dangerous game. But these have become dangerous times, look across the Atlantic. I got a chuckle from the US reaction to the EU demand on Apples taxes. They aren't defending Apple they want that money to go back to the USA not to Ireland's tax department of...

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

@d8veh this booster pack idea might just be the jumping off point for me to pass over to 12S 44.4V lipo. It means I could use my current 36V li-ion bottle as a range extender with a 48 V controller. What effect will adding a 5000mAh 2S 7.4V 60C pack to my li-ion bottle have, will it help fight...

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

He has attached a battery in series to increase voltage. I was under the impression that the booster pack would have to be the same amperage as the main battery for that to work well. I am on my tiny screen sorry can't link to the thread, do a search for lipo booster there are several threads.
