Chris in Norfolk (as the name might suggest)

The controller will go long before the motor I think. As the capacitor of the controller didn't blow during your road test you are probably good to go.

    Number Two

A tail of two controllers... A bit of soldering and crimping and splicing later. I kept the original connector "just in case" I had to fall back to something I know works. Tony's top tip for soldering JST-XH male connectors Plug it into the female connector which is already crimped to the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Austerity for who? Reducing wages by 10-20% for people who are already having difficulty making ends meet was never austerity for 100% of the population. My Example is Spain (Greece is an atypical basket case) where real wages have gone down that much. And there has never been so many new...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Which brings us back around to the rich and powerful skipping out on tax. Tax is just a means of redistributing wealth. There is plenty of wealth it just isn't distributed in a way that would mean living within means. Do you really need that second 110 m yacht with a deck covered in half naked...

    Ergon GP1 Handlebar Grips

I have used similar on both MTB bars and now on "Moon" bars with 23° sweep back. They work better for me with sweep back. Tingling went away but I now have suspension on the front. Bars or suspension? Or both? In any case it is good to be able to ride longer distances without losing all feeling...

    Oxygen MTB speed restriction

Let me guess, 1234... I had an adsl router that came with that "password" deep in the documentation it was marked "please change the password", how many users read that far.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

All companies should write to their tax inspector: " Apple doesn't pay corporate tax on profit then why should we?" That might get some notice...

    Oxydrive ride recorded on Strava.

I am really impressed by the mileage you do on a ride. My longest so far is about 68 miles, the first time I had the two batteries and so about 18.5 Ah to play with. As I was working 6 day weeks all through August today was my first outing and I am sore in all the usual places after 28 km or so :(

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I was doing a contract for a multi-national company the first year that it made more money from financial "engineering" than from selling real products. You can imagine the atmosphere in the offices (other than accounting) at that time, everyone was in fear for their job. Apple could buy Greece...

This guy was hard work for me.

Just got back from a test ride on Number Two and I am still good for 30-32 km/h on the flat (cut off speed 25 km/h). That was at 46:13 and the bike wasn't loaded at all, just the chain, my wallet and a safety vest in the pannier. Downhill 46:11 and lying down I pushed to over 60 km/h just about...

    Need some new handle bars

I was going to buy that bar and put it on upside down board-tracker style :) I am lucky in that I have no back problems but I understand your pain, one of my uncles had to have 3 vertebrae removed because of a similar problem.

An electric motorcycle: http://www.instructables.com/id/48V-Electric-Flat-Tracker/ Those tiny mechanical disks stopping the weight of the thing scares me.

    Need some new handle bars

https://www.rosebikes.com/products/ergotec/bike-parts/handlebars-and-accessories/mtbtrekking-handlebars/?page=1&order=aprice&count=16#anchor_products I chose the Moon MAS, at 9.95€ I almost bought 3 different styles to see which I preferred but reason prevailed! I think I would have been happy...

This guy was hard work for me.

I think he is just a strong young lad and he is in top gear. Before going electric I had the tendency to be a couple of gears higher than I should have been and using brute force rather than cadence. Age and going electric have me using a cadence between 70 and 80 now instead.

This guy was hard work for me.

32 kmh? His bike does look a bit "ordinary" but I rode at that speed in my 20's, I was even clocked at over 60 kmh riding home from work. But yes it was a racing bike in an exotic steel alloy and I was pulling 52:11 or something silly like that...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There is some talk here that shaking the tree (that's your referendum) will make the rotten fruit fall (that's you) forcing the politicians to fix the EU's problems real or perceived and the EU will move forward stronger and better for the Brexit thangy. It will be so much better that the UK...

Hmmm... and you are having problems finding money for the NHS? I think I might have a clue where you could look... Of course you need a big Army to prevent yourself from being invaded by the 7,300 immigrants just off your shores in France... o_O
