kits and matching the other wheel

You haven't seen many German trekking bikes then? A lot of them have Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes. They weigh much less than disks They brake just as well (think disk that is 28" in diameter...) It is up to the kit maker to choose to sell one rim fits all or specific rims for disks and...

    Haibike on Ebay 30 mph

Going flat out (a power output of 250 watts) = 50 km/h (31 mph). So this is a car capable of over twice the speed limit too, the pedelec speed limit that is :D

    Test ride..

They will have to sell it as "demonstration model" with a discount. How much does a bike devalue after it leaves the door for a test ride?

Hobby king multi star on offer

Turnigy Neutron 80W charger because it seems to do everything I need (and LiHV if and when) for 30€. If I get serious about Lipo I will get a more serious charger. I bought a bag of XT60 plugs and XT60 series connecter so will start off by replacing the XT90s and put the XT60s behind both...

Kudos Rapide gets 108 miles out of a 10.4 Ah battery.

I had my Eureka moment (this has been trotting in my mind since last week). Going up hills I use 10-14 Wh/km and going down 0 Wh/km! As in my neck of the woods you are either going up or coming back down the average is around 5-7 Wh/km. So yes! I do need electrical assistance but only on half...

Looking to Start Building and Selling Ebikes in My Area

Nice design! My only quibble is the seat post, a NCX would be better and not affect the price too much.

Yamaha or Bosch and Haibike or Cube

I agree, that temperature is well outside the recommended use and storage temperatures for Li-Ion. For use you will need a battery cover. Range will be up to -30%.

Go Faster Dongles! Here's another to consider

My post is about the legality of having a dongle on the bike. If it isn't helping you break the law it can't be an illegal device. The motor power will never be higher than the manufacturers designed limit but a dongle could give you access to the full power of the Bosch motor (350 W...

Go Faster Dongles! Here's another to consider

If you have a dongled pedelec and the assistance is set so that it cuts out at 25 km/h it is still a pedelec. The nominative power is the same you have in no way modified that. The point of law is using a device to get around the cut out speed, that is illegal. If it (the dongle) is mounted and...

Because they are on promotion. Grrrr almost the same price I paid for the 4S 10 Ah... Which are no longer on promotion Yay! I got it at the right price. I measured and 16 Ah won't fit so it looks like a 4 pack 20 Ah set up is my way forward still waiting on charger so I can test what I have...

Go Faster Dongles! Here's another to consider

We are talking about EN15194? That is the only law here in France for pedelecs. "3.22 continuous rated power continuous (or constant) output power specified by manufacturer, at which the motor reaches its thermal equilibrium at given ambient conditions NOTE Thermal equilibrium: temperatures of...

Go Faster Dongles! Here's another to consider

No the GSM motor is legal, going over 25 km/h with assistance isn't. A 500W capable motor that is labled "250W nominative" is legally a 250W motor because the manufacturer says so. I hope these points help you with the understanding of the law.
