    Volt alpine

You ned a meter to determine what the pin outs are likelihood is that the two outers are v+ & v-, the two inners may not do nothing and could be unconnected. If the battery receiver allows you to plug in the charger for on bike charging then the middle pair will be for the charge circuit when on...

    Advice for 20" hubs.

As Tony has said you can place the A/R washers outboard to reduce spreading of D/O's, A/R & washer placement can vary depending on whether a rotor needs to be lined up or the need to fit a T/A. For T/A I prefer to have mine sit nice and flat against the D/O so usually fitted in board on the RHS.

    Weasel

Off the usual tracks a pair of Hares on the South Downs a couple of years go, they hopped it before I could get a piccy. Although a beekeeper as well I have never seen an airborne swarm go by , my first sighting was also on the South Downs a couple of years ago. The loud buzzing gave them away...

    Yosepower hub kits.

Most likely the tapped thread in the nut is damaged, the axle is a hardened metal compared to the nut. Buy a new nut / arw set and all should be ok, this is what I did with my Q128c.

Why many ebikes exceed UK/EU maximum of 250W

Any 36v or 48v nominal battery is legal to use irrelevant of how many Ah or Wh capacity is used, on a long run I can carry 1500wh if I wish to. For an idea of rough range from a battery a rider will use between 10 - 20 wh per mile so divide the upper figure for a worst case scenario of range by...

    New Gtech ebike

Jaundice sounds like he is suffering from extreme prejudice as a result of posters slating the GTECH a little. I have well over 10k miles on various hub motors/kits and have yet to find any struggle due to weather, there have been the odd niggle. My Norco 700c conversion using 4 different kits...

    Yosepower hub kits.

If you don't want a full speed throttle then try adjusting the speed limit for it, C4 value 2 allow you to set the throttle speed limit and is/shouldn't be linked to PAS.

Why many ebikes exceed UK/EU maximum of 250W

Theo has simply confused motor W rating to battery W/h capacity rating which are totally different.

    Yose power 350 thumb throttle.

Sometimes there is not enough room for shifters and thumb type throttle unless you have wide bars, you could use a half or full twist grip. On my 700c I'm fine as I use integrated hydraulic brake/shifters so only have the one piece of hardware on each side.

    Advice for 20" hubs.

Price of bike is irrelevant for converting as the kit is not wasted and at any time in the future can be easily reused. Some of my kits have been transferred a few times to different bikes and I don't see value of bike as an issue. As long as the hub is secured properly in the drops outs and a...

    Troubleshooting dead battery?

You can get a wrong voltage reading if the meter's battery is low or nearly had it. If the charger voltage output is higher it doesn't matter as long as the charge rate is low, you just have to make sure the cell you charge doesn't over charge so check it with the meter every 10mins or so. If...

    Troubleshooting dead battery?

Yes, that is correct. The charger is for 3.6v if you, did it as in #30 then the charger would read too higher voltage and not do anything.

    Advice for 20" hubs.

You don't necessarily have to go for a rack battery combo, you could fix a base to the present rack and use any battery (opens up a few more battery options) with it's included frame carrier. Bolt/fix the carrier to the rack base and then just slide battery on and lock it in place. Rear hub...

Eligible Electric Bike Manufacturers and Suppliers Should Have 8 Features

The triangle frame battery (probably with controller inside) has been done before, as can be seen in my Avatar of the Swizzbee. As vfr (TUFKAD) has said there is a market for it but think in the EU it is limited, the small package is good for the motor home fraternity for occasional use. The...

The rider for the bike was far too tall to extend his legs to assert proportional leg power. For Europes market it will be perceived as a gimmick/toy, one for the children which is illegal. This is not a serious contender to upset or make head way in to exsisting market sales as an every day use...

    Glazed brakes?

Resin/organic have more bite initially then sintered or semi sintered brakes, there disadvantage is they may fade is too much heat builds up on declines. This is sintered are meant to excel. Changing pad seller can give differing performance esp if they are clones. I used to buy 1 or two pairs...
