New bike, motor towed up steep hill.

Ally you have answered your own question partly your self, a case of sticking to incline you know the bike can manage and leave the steeper one alone by finding another route. Reason why other bikes price wise cost more better electrics/motor & battery and some bike components. I think we have...

BBS01 programming - that doesn't fry the controller

Having had the controller off a few times and replaced before now, no other option but to hollow out said controller. Might have a dig around to see if I kept my old fried controller or not, but do have a feeling I may have binned it a couple of years ago.

New bike, motor towed up steep hill.

You will have done little wrong, it will boil down to the motor quality and controller power/amp draw. No all hub motors are the same and some are stronger and better then others, these usually have a 20a controller and deliver 500 odd watts in PAS 5. Something like the BigBear (Woosh) has a...

    Radon Solution Hybrid

The brakes will be fine they are hydraulic disc from Shimano get some spare pads as you might go through them a bit faster with speed. Stopping power will be good to v,good and impressive compared to cable or rims brakes. I have low spec Shimano hydraulic on all my bikes and they are brilliant.

BBS01 programming - that doesn't fry the controller

Thanks Jarob, I have the controller on order so waiting for that now as I have every thing else I need in my spares, lcd3 with julet, pas disc/sensor with julet , brake cut off, julet 1T4 cable & 9 pin motor cable to solder the phase and halls in side the existing controller body. 18a is what I...

    Changing handlebars.

If you want different hand positions try butterfly bars or something similar, they have multi hand positions if you don't mind the styling.

BBS01 programming - that doesn't fry the controller

Old thread resurrection. Have now swapped BBS01 to another older MTB small 17" frame which I'm liking, added twin rings 32/48 combo to front and a Alfine 8 to the rear. Had an issue today and PAS not working properly (actually only worked once for about 1/2km pulling 12 - 17a) and throttle not...

Bafang BBS01B and 15Ah battery for sale

Posting the battery will likely be not easy. Other wise for 300 sov's I would have jumped at it.

Tried 4 ebikes recently - Van Moof, Haibike, Lime e bike, Uber e bike - only liked one

I have done 100 miles in a day with my hub drive using all terrains, more often then not though 50 - 75 are my regular distances.

    Battery not always fully charging

Not quite each row of 5 cells is a parallel group of which you have 14, each group (of 5) will only charge to 4.2v. 14 x 4.2v =58.8v. The 5 cells in parallel voltage wise act as one so only 4.2v, voltage only increases when connected in series. Capacity wise the cells are 3500mah, in parallel...

    Dropouts bending with torque arm?

Show us side view pic with motor and AR washers installed, are the washers tab fully engaging within the drop out ? From the pics which it looks like drop outs are unaltered and might also be that the ARW's aren't sitting in correctly.

    Gtech front wheel conversion

You could fit any hub as long as the connector is correct and drops outs are standard 9mm QR, other issue is extending motor cable. Extensions are available.

    Battery and Controller connectors

Bullets are ok for a while then the Green insulation sleeve can cracks or melts if it gets warm more so on the controller phase wires. For the battery chop off the bullets and either fit Anderson's or use XT30 30a cont or XT60 60a cont , for phase chop of bullets and use MT60...

    Battery not always fully charging

Correct Trevor the little white wires are the sense/ balance wires. One to each cell group, it should simply pull out though may be tight. The Black is 0v and is soldered to cell group #1 negative all the other sense wires 13 white and 1 Red are soldered to the positive of each group. The first...

    Battery not always fully charging

If sometimes you only get 90% then a cell group is out of balance and charges to 4.2v faster then other groups, balancing may takes ages to sort it self out as typically 50-100mv is the balance rate. It is not uncommon for the first or last cell group to be out of balance with some BMS so the...

Oxygen s-cross - how to prepare in 24 hours

It's much the same or similar kit that we had when we bought the Oxydrive kit's. I use current setting one (eco) nearly all the time and just used the six assist levels to get optimum range, though mainly used assist 2 -4 for optimum. With a new 13ah battery I did manage 52 miles once but...

Oxygen s-cross - how to prepare in 24 hours

Battery BMS will have lvc set so likely about 32v (3.2v per cell) will be about it. If you need to use down to lvc then do so it is a safe min limit, typically to get full cell capacity usage 2.5- 2.8v is manufacturers recommendation but really below 3.2v there is little to be gained. Use...

    Yosepower hub kits.

I have had a extensive road test of 70 miles the last week and fiddled with P1 to get it a near perfect reading compared with my GPS. Setting the km/h to default 25, I found P1 needed to be 84. On increasing km/h to 32 cut off the speeds matched the gps reading to with in 0.1mph. I had P1 at 87...
