    Wheel keeps falling off!

Can you clear up something for me Drake, in your pics did you loosen the wheel nuts for us to see the drops outs so partially removing the wheel or is this how the shop mechanic left it ?

    Two wire motors?

Might need new brushes, change them and see if it helps. Otherwise time to move on and either buy another bike with modern brushless components or upgrade your bike with a brushless motor, controller & lcd. Occasionally brushed hubs do turn up on ebay but scarce and old hat now for ebike use.

Which hub motor for my handbike (Q100H?)

Bafang cst is a lovely hub plenty of oomph but a bit weighty at 4.4kg. Q100c or Q128c both good. Q100c@17a or Q128c20a. Both happy at 36 or 48v, starting from scratch if you have to buy a battery go for 13s/48v. Q100c is for 32h rim but is nice at only about 2.2kg Q128c is for 36h rom though is...

    on the beach

Saline and batteries don't mix sure way to kill a battery very quickly if moisture gets inside, like wise electric contacts will suffer. Just keep well away from the surf and wet sand.

    Hello

Hello and welcome to the forum, the Wisper is a pretty good choice as CS is good and company CEO (Daivid) is quite active on the forum, any issues you have will easily be dealt with via Cycle Solution or David. Wisper batteries generally are very good and 5-7 years isn't uncommon. Use them lots...

    Disc Brakes

Resin/organic pads offer the best bite force imho. It could be that your reservoir is low and air is being drawn in, certainly worth checking fluid level.

My BB has no clearance to fit speed sensor

You have a gxp or hollow tech bb, so no crank puller is needed. Undo the allen bolts on the non drive side crank arm and with gentle manipulation the arm will come off then you can slide the axle and chain rings out onc ethe chain is off. The pas/cadence sensor fitted to a thin metal plate then...

Hydraulic brake issue after tyre change

Not forgetting as pads wear eventually there will be a small air pocket in the reservoir so at some stage it will travel the length of the hose when inverted.

Hydraulic brake issue after tyre change

Inverting a bike is something I never do now with HDB's, due to the exact reason you have found out K. The one time I did it I was lucky and a few lever pumps and some gentle tapping of the calliper and brake hose managed to remove the air back to the reservoir, alternately use a lacky band or...

Has anyone compared assistance of Dongled Bosch CX to derestricted Oxygen

The difference between cadence and torque sensor drives. TS only gives if you are willing to give where as with cadence sensor you can get away with ghost pedalling.

    Disc Brakes

If pad soiling is light from road grime, I have successfully cleaned them by rubbing washing up liquid between the pads and rinsing other wise agree yes replace them. Spongey brakes can occur if a bike is up ended, a few do this to mend punctures etc. Air in the reservoir will travel to a high...

A rare piece of history - Swizzbee

Swizzbee never seems to be maintenance free having got the hub sorted and running sweetly and no more issues with drive side axle nut keep loosening and at times getting lost as it flies off. I now have the brushes playing up again, one of the contact wires appears to be a bit faulty causing an...

    Disc Brakes

Brakes shouldn't need bleeding if there is no leakage or air has got in the system, Only time I have bled them is for a calliper, lever change or new hose/shortening. Some use DOT 4/5 brake fluid whilst all Shimano use mineral oil as may some other brands.

Use your phone, set alarm (on loud ) for 20, 30 or 60 secs. Count your pedal full rotations until said alarm goes off. 20 secs x 3 the count, 30 secs x 2 the count or 60 secs will give your rpm.
