3000mah some crappy no name cells have been known to only produce 10% of the expected mah and CDR ? 8 cells for under £14 is a joke, there is no way these are suitable for ebike use.

The cell voltages are fine from your earlier post, so I would disconnect the BMS and solder in a new single one. Plenty on ebay or Ann/Annpower on Aliexpress are highly recommended, you should find one that will fit.

Motor rating is secondary, what really matters is the controller peak amps and the cells CDR and how many parallel.

The GSM has internal pas sensor though if using an external controller you should be able to wire up a crank pedal sensor and magnet disc as normal and not worry about the internal one as an alternative option.
