    Pannier bags for Big Bear

Probably worth using a proofing wax on them 2 or 3 times a year to keep some water proofing qualities and help prevent drying out and splitting.

    Pannier bags for Big Bear

Have ordered a pair for my 700c for use with my top rack bag, they will be sturdier and more resilient then the drop down/zip side panniers. Will offer more protection for my camera and spares I carry etc, as well as being more water resistant. The flap fastener is likely to be the weak point as...

    Yosepower hub kits.

All in #5 of this thread, start at the beginning and read through.

    Nearly there now.

Your LCD setting will read lvc when it reaches 40v. For your ride today individual cell discharge will have finished at approx. 3.53v.

    Yosepower hub kits.

The LCD3 shows two different readings, one ambient air temp and the other according to the Manual a motor temp reading !!! Under display functions it gives #8 Motor power (watts) & motor temp, #9 Enviromental (ambient)temperature.

Currently 40v C12 & 4. The highest LVC you can set is as I stated 41.5v. If not using a watt meter then use the LCD voltage reading as a guide and compare the LCD reading from your battery with a hand held meter. 41.5 is approx. 3.19v per cell, generally low for discharging if you want longevity...

    Yosepower hub kits.

50 mile ride out today using 13s/48v, I didn't go any faster ( top speed) as I was mainly looking for the range. Obviously acceleration and cruising is faster initially then the endurance/range factor was in mind so I settled for 18/19 mph. I did see 898w as I did briefly give it full throttle...

KT's are 40v std you can up it to 41.5v C12 & 7, which is nearly 3.2v per cell. 3.3 (42.9v) or 3.4 (44.2v) is a more suitable lv limit if you want to be conservative. Use the lcd3 for voltage reading. The battery BMS for Eclipse is set for 36.4v or 2.8v per cell.

    Pannier bags for Big Bear

Do these have any tie back/securing on the back to prevent any slapping against a pannier rack ? No need to answer just seen the pic on ebay has a very small D ring on the back. So M.H or M.K how strong dose this D ring look ?

Spare Battery.... expensive luxury, or twice the fun.

Always have frame battery and carry two older ones in top rack bag paralleled together on the 700c. My mtb I tend to use lipo's as range extenders. Riding in unpowered is ok but soon as you hit a bit of an incline the speed scrubs right off

PAS stopped working - any advice on what to check?

My Oxydrive pas developed the same fault in wet drizzly conditions, I could only assume it was water ingress via the cable entry conflicting the 5v line, it cured it self in a dry garage after a day or two. I then sealed around the cable entry and it never occurred again. In my case the sensor...

For servicing the normal bike components any competent good LBS or mobile bike mechanic can do this, brakes , gears, wheel truing etc. The Safari has hub gears so will need oil changes at the required intervals in the future. I would trust a good LBS above Halfords.

For more speed adjust the LCD speeds 32 - 42 km/h is plenty if no joy and still 25km/h disconnect the white speed limit wire form the controller you should get well over 20 mph. No Chines wiring is universal some controllers have just 2 or 3 colours for every thing and not always colours you...

    Dillinger kit

The Rock shoks will probably need a torque arm as they aren't very strong, my Recons drop out both snapped on the front leading edge with a bpm (approx. 400 miles use) and the T/A all but stopped the wheel parting company. I now use a set of crappier Suntour nex forks which are much stronger...

Throttles why do they go bad so easily?

I got my 108x's off ebay for £5.38 each, I thought they might be copies. The body has a raised 108x moulded on the body and cable is branded Wuxing. End fitting is sm3 though as shown not to hard to swap wiring/sensor...

    Stolen bike found

If insurance has paid out on the bike then it is not yours any longer, legally the insurers own it. What you should have done instead of making any demands was to ask CC to let you take the bike out for a test ride, do the necessary to remove your part and then simply return bike stating it...

    Pendleton

The Safar's battery should have a longer lifespan ( need to check batteries age ) then the Pendleton's. Range will be comparable, lifepo though heavier will have more ability to maintain a steadier voltage through its range and due to it's higher amp output and ability will have much less sag...

Anyone have experience of eliefbike / pswpower batteries

For the money it won't be MJ1's price is to cheap. Sellers seem to like rounding up cells for some reason, more likely they are a poor relation such as the 5a rated 3400ma LG LF1. 29E dolpins are sold as 15ah but as we know they are 14.5 ah. Edited.; typo on ah.
