    Brexit, for once some facts.

If not Norway Minus, we could adopt the Swiss multiple agreement deal, full of holes like their cheese. ;) .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Tillson said using the kidology name Norway Plus. However, to suit the Brexiters, I think Norway Minus might be more apposite, since they want less EU, not more. .

Are ebikes worth the price tag?

Depends on if one gets depressed easily. :) .

Are ebikes worth the price tag?

And sometimes the little sprocket gets hooked and the damn chain won't peel off the sprocket, carrying on round and jamming against the upper run! :( .

Are ebikes worth the price tag?

The 16 tooth sprocket isn't driven directly from the cranks. The cranks drive an epicyclic gear inside which uprates the turn speed of the small sprocket about 2.5 times. N.B. Crossed with D8ve's post. .

    54,6v or 48v charger for 48v battery?

54.6 is the charge voltage you want, but the "48 volt" one sold may also be about 55 volts, just given the nominal battery voltage name to avoid confusing the uninitiated. There's a similar inaccurate naming thing with lithium batteries, commonly referred to as 24 volts and 36 volts to stay...

Vertical battery and bottle on down tube: why is it uncommon?

I've seen twin bottles on the occasional Tour de France bike, one on down tube and one on seat tube. Not a popular choice though, probably due to weight. However, team members do occasionally relay bottles to other team members, so it may be more comfortable than the extra bottle stuffed up...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I listened to Michael Gove's campaign launch speech, and although he stands for the diametrically opposite to my beliefs, I was impressed by the speech and he earned my respect. It seems to me that he stands strongly for the full Brexit position, so I find it disappointing for them that he's...

Should we be suprised by the Brexit victory?

Yes, I certainly wouldn't argue that their possible move would be wise, but I'm happy for them to make their own mistakes. They'd survive since they are a resilient lot and have a very long history of coping against the odds, but it could be tough. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I agree, I don't see an extension beyond two years likely, so then we'll be out. That's when things get interesting though, since only then will we start to see who gets any satisfaction from the move. That might take years to be fully revealed. We seem to have exchanged one rocky road for...

Should we be suprised by the Brexit victory?

For the majority of changes, especialy internal, I agree, but this is no routine change. I think all are agreed that this move by the UK is a game changer and a momentous decision on an almost unprecedented scale. I think the scale of this justifies Scotland having a fresh chance, if they wish...

I wasn't doling out any flak, I answered someone's question in an intelligent, balanced and rational manner. The flak is what you just twice posted here, both times uncalled for and unnecessary. .

Should we be suprised by the Brexit victory?

When the UK was in the EU. Now with the voting to leave the EU so soon after Scotland's decision, the Scots may as a separate country choose to change their decision in the light of the drastically changed circumstance. It would help if the nomenclature was right, Scotland didn't in truth vote...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

So there is no disagreement and the thread doesn't exist? Instead of just criticising someone who offered an answer to Yamdude's question, why couldn't you have offered an alternative answer to the question if you felt mine was so wrong? But of course that is being constructive, so perhaps...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The point is that it's a way of expressing the huge amount of distress, upset and anger that the referendum result has created, people need an outlet for high emotions. That's been energised by the large number who voted to leave but have since been worrying about the Pandora's Box they've just...

Should we be suprised by the Brexit victory?

It does sound amusing, but we have examples of partial detachment like Norway and Switzerland. There's also of course the split country division of Denmark in the EU and it's territory of Greenland outside the EU, something that Scotland might wish to pursue in relation to Britain. .
