    Brexit, for once some facts.

No doubting Thomas Mair's position now. Asked to state his name in court he replied: "Death to traitors, freedom for Britain". I'll be surprised if he gets a minimum term of less than 30 years. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I can't agree, mainly because a death sentence can be an opt-out of punishment for many. I for one if faced with 30 years in a prison at the age of 52 would much prefer the kindness of a quick end. Life has to have value to be enjoyed, and in prison it has no value. .

Why would I think those? I use the resources for the parallel things I often do when online, and not just in this forum. .

For him 52, Britain first is likely to become British prison last. He's likely to get a very long minimum term. .

The Best Mobile Telephone Ever Made for only £9.10

That's personal taste then, and I don't find using a smartphone or tablet either convenient or suitable for what I want. For much of what I do while online a smartphone is not suitable, so I'd find one far too restrictive. I'm also well aware of the mistakes Tapatalk users post and their...

I can only say your PC and/or internet connection is too slow then, I have no trouble in high speed browsing. You've seen my PC and connection spec above, and please note my connection is hard wired. Most of those I come across these days are using a wireless router connection, much slower...

    Euro football

I don't watch the games, since that avoids the boredom. The late night highlights which are mainly the goals and results suits me fine. Agree on the fouls, I've taken issue with that ever since the term "professional foul" was first coined long ago. There's nothing professional about them...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Really! The £350 million lie was exposed for what it was, Long before the program I knew as many did that we have never sent £350 millions a week to the EU, We send £248 millions, simply because the rebate is deducted first before remitting. I don't understand the Brexit campaign. Why use a...

The Best Mobile Telephone Ever Made for only £9.10

I well understand what a smartphone can do, but I don't need or even have a use for most of those things. I don't need a map/satnav since I have a much better one in my car and don't get lost when I'm walking. I've got far better torches for when I'm out on a wildlife pursuit at night and I...

I'm not claiming any fountain of whole truth, just drawing attention to a source where claims are dissected, the method of that described and an outcome shown in each subject. Some of the series outcomes were open enough to draw conclusions either way, a few, like that in program one, were...

I think you missed the point of that introduction. It was illustrating the entertainment aspect of the contest between the two parties that was commented on. It was the program content that mattered. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Just defending against what looks like an insult to a very truthful set of programs in a series that's proved trustworthy over many years. But your above comment is ambiguous. You say you've listened to the programs but say your comment is re: this thread. Which is it? .

Not a good try Brendan. If you really mean you think I'm trying to get one over, why not listen the programs and see how impartial they are, before just jumping to conclusions. Same goes for anyone else doubting. Link to the programs .

I don't think so, it's only the nature of this death that has brought this reaction. Other deaths of incumbents have always resulted in fully contested by-elections. Jo's short term in office will not be lengthened by her replacement since the parliament period is fixed. Therefore the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

In keeping with the thread title, about facts, here's a source of good accurate information about the referendum issues. The BBC's respected "More or Less" Radio 4 series is dedicated to closely examining statistical claims and often debunks false figures propagated. Accordingly this week a...

At least we now have an act of common decency in this situation. The Conservative Party have announced that they will not contest the by-election caused by the tragic death of Jo Cox. I hope all other parties opposed to the current political status do likewise. .

No, not playing the man, just warning against listening to a proven very untrustworthy person. There are very many sincere, honest and capable people arguing for Brexit, so there's no need to take Johnson's promises into account. All that matters are the known facts on each side, the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The last thing anyone should do is listen to the words Boris Johnson utters. He is a proven persistent liar and always has been. When he was very capably interviewed on BBC 2 long ago everyone watching was left in absolutely no doubt of what an untrustworthy, deceitful and self-seeking person...
