Can anyone help me with a pinout diagram for a XLR 4-pin Derby/Kalkhoff Agattu Impulse 36V battery?

There's absolutely nothing of this nature ever released Ron, so no hope of finding it. This is common practice with such bike crank motor units. The precedent was set almost 15 years ago by Panasonic with their crank unit which was strictly repair by replacement with a two years warranty...

    Smart ebike out of production?

That's what I've been doing for a while now, there's no point in trying rational discussion with someone who is incapable of that and who may even have serious mental health issues. .

    Vive la France!

I agree the numbers could easily be reduced, but theres always the problem of one's own locals helping them. For example all the employers of very low pay illegals who welcome them and even house them to obtain the profit benefit. That's why I gave the USA problem as an example. It's probable...

    Vive la France!

For most countries there is no such thing as a secure border, it's almost impossible to achieve. Even the USA with it's huge resources has found itself impotent against the determination of economic migrants from the south, and that's with a fairly limited border length. For those countries...

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

It would appear so, and certainly will be under the revised UK law. For a number of years the eZee bikes throttle worked this way when the bike was switched to pedelec mode. Since that was how they were supplied into mainland Europe, probably entirely legal there too. .

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

Of course all it needs for all this discussion to be redundant is some suppliers type-approving their throttle equipped pedelecs. They'd then be legal EAPCs in the UK. .

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

It's what most UK e-bikers had been doing between 10th November 2003 and 13th April 2013, nearly ten years of wicked naughtiness. :D .

I'm afraid not, you could reuse your kit but not just the throttle, since you'd need the kit purchase invoice as proof of age, and that will say what it is. .

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

The change to pedelec only control was 6th April 2015 with stock clearance from then to 1st January 2016. Six months is the usual notice period, they gave that last change in 2003. .

Yes, it has what the DfT call "Grandfather rights". .

    Pack Voltage

Usually it's ok, since its capacitors are rated at least 50 volts and often more. Also that's only a quiescent 50.4 volts, under working load the voltage will be much lower. .

Sorry about that happening, the forum does do the odd weird thing now and again. :) .

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

All the links work, I tested them when first posting The paragraph in blue isn't a link, it's just the paragraph to read since that's all that's necessary from the Type Approval law. The rest of that type approval law doesn't apply to pedelecs. The labelling law is for manufacturers to plate...

Are you saying British e-bikers should be throttled Yamdude? :) Many motorists would agree. .

As I've posted, the CPS route is a waste of time if you really need to see the law. Here's the full information: The original 1983 EAPC law, published in a 2005 document: http://www.electricbikesexperts.co.uk/support-files/department-for-tranport-eapc-guidelines.pdf The 6th April 2015...

I think it was probably because your post ended with the fact that you'd been given the correct answer already and for us that answer was common knowledge to most members. Had you asked a question I'm sure you'd have had plenty of answers, and the responses to your post I've quoted show that...

    192mph........hero!

Of course! Everyone's getting so serious about this high speed driver it's as if they were threatened. If they were, what were they doing cycling on the motorway, it's illegal. :) I could argue that this 192 mph driver was being very considerate, doing it where there are no bicycles. :D .

    192mph........hero!

An Analysis: ;) Hard braking should be avoided, since it can cause loss of control. Shouldn't stop on a motorway, So spends less time on the motorway in which an accident could occur, so safer. :)

    Pack Voltage

There must be a mistake in the wiring, since you should indeed get 44.4 v nominal (actual 50.4, much higher when fully charged) from 4 of those packs in series. Your first post is a bit confusing since you said you wired 4 packs in series and parallel, so that 4 x 2 layout will only give 22.2 v...

Can anyone help me with a pinout diagram for a XLR 4-pin Derby/Kalkhoff Agattu Impulse 36V battery?

To minimise the risk of shorting in the confined XLR space, first check the battery base connection to find the negative there. Since the negative is often common though the system, you can use that base negative for one probe, meaning only one exploring the XLR for the positive. .
