Recently, trump ordered staff at the WH to delete transcripts of his speeches, press conferences, TV interviews etc. He must have read some of that and was not happy about it. That's his style. Our leaders tend to be careful with words and rather precise, no repetition,.Trump is rather direct, there is no filter between his brain and his mouth. He thinks as slowly as he speaks and does not think far ahead. Anything he types in block caps are usually aimed at his supporters. You can see that in their typical subject. Block capitals suit angry messages and angry people.

His war against Judges, the press and anyone who disagrees with him , harks back to my comments about Emperors, made on Saturday. He truly is of an autocratic mind set. He seems oblivious that for good reason the Constitution that he swore to uphold and respect has checks and balances, precisely to guard against people like himself. He has more than once gone against constitutional provisions, having people deported without due process and then refusing to act on court instructions to bring them back.

In his own words he says, 'THESE JUDGES SUFFER FROM AN IDEOLOGY THAT IS SICK AND VERY DANGEROUS FOR OUR COUNTRY'. He means - they uphold constitutional provisions and disagree with his careless disregard of the law.

He is in every way just an autocratic madman with delusions of being some sort of Roman Emperor, surrounded by people plotting against him.

Trump would point at Article 2 of the constitution and says he has the power to be chief of the army, appoint judges etc so that everybody must obey him, and generally, people around him do just that. They will tell him that he's always right because he is a genius. His cabinet is like a scene from North Korea. Now congress is passing a new budget bill. Inside it, there is a clause that limits the federal judges ability to issue contempt of court rulings. Trump is on his way to become king.

Quote:

The current budget reconciliation bill—formally titled the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act"—includes a provision that would significantly limit federal judges' ability to enforce contempt citations and injunctions against the government.

What the Provision Does

The bill contains a clause stating that federal courts may not use appropriated funds to enforce contempt citations for violations of injunctions or temporary restraining orders if no security (bond) was posted when the injunction was issued under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65(c). This applies retroactively, affecting both past and future cases .

In practice, this means that if a court issued an injunction without requiring the plaintiff to post a bond—a common occurrence in cases involving civil rights or constitutional protections—the court would be barred from enforcing that order through contempt proceedings. This could severely undermine the judiciary's ability to ensure compliance with its rulings, particularly in cases where plaintiffs lack the resources to post bonds .

⚖ Legal and Constitutional Concerns

Legal experts have raised alarms about this provision, arguing that it threatens the separation of powers by stripping courts of a fundamental enforcement mechanism. Erwin Chemerinsky, Dean of UC Berkeley School of Law, described it as a "fundamental attack on judicial power and constitutional principles" .

Critics contend that the provision could effectively place the executive branch above the law by removing one of the judiciary's primary tools for ensuring government accountability. It could also retroactively nullify existing court orders, including those related to immigration and civil rights .

the usa corporate legal system is infected with democrat corrupt judges trying to stop trump doing the right thing and getting rid of all the scum what our pm wants to keep on rolling in.

The Roman Empire's fall was a gradual process influenced by a complex interplay of factors, rather than a single event. Internal problems like corruption, civil wars, and economic instability, combined with external pressures from Germanic tribes and shifting population dynamics, weakened the empire over centuries.

Who replaced the Roman Empire after it fell?

the Byzantine Empire

But in the late 5th century, the empire collapsed. The Roman Empire fell into factions and was replaced by the Byzantine Empire which lasted from 476 CE - 1453 CE.

The competition between Europeans, Americans, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese and now Indians accelerates progress. Not so long ago, batteries could not work at below -20C, now, they do work even at -40C. You can spot EVs in Simon Reeves Scandinavia series, Finland -30C. Typical loss of capacity after 2 years, 30,000 miles is now 1% or less, fast charging in 10-15 minutes, more and more cars are fitted with safer LFP batteries and the price is now on par with ICE or even cheaper. We have standard 'platforms' being shared between brands so quality is improving too.
So plenty of opportunity for unforseen problems from the new technology then!

The US court of international trade just made trump's tariffs illegal. Expect the stock market to rally later today.

Most of the stuff trump does through presidential orders are illegal or will be found illegal pretty soon in court. That's why he tries to stop the judges to issue orders against his administration. He has already put one in custody under a dodgy charge of obstruction and harbouring an illegal immigrant.
Last night, the US International trade Court stopped trump's tariffs. I expect importers who paid trump's reciprocal tariffs will claim it back. As I said, trump's goals are justifiable but he goes about it in the wrong way.

Trump can't do anything without bending the law, even just a little bit. One of the guys who got the pardon was sentenced to 12 years in prison for bank fraud of 30 million. Trump agreed that was excessive. What does that tell you about his view of bank fraud?

Exactly. Trump is in essence an aspiring dictator. His constant self aggrandisement and insufferable boasting was always an indicator of his megalomaniac tendencies.
